Prior to last night, I was giving May a 60% chance of beating Pac. After the fight, I give Floyd 85%. Manny didn't know what to do. Whereas his 2 previous fights with Juan, he seemed a lot more willing to throw punches even though he knew he'd be getting some back. Last night, he barely seemed capable of throwing a single combo. He had no control over the ring and what few punches he did land looked awkward, as though he had his eyes shut while he threw a fast punch hoping it'd land. I'm having trouble comprehending it. The 2 previous fights at 126 & 130 suited JMM more weight wise. My line of thought was at 144 (Pac's better weight (or so I thought)), the WORST Pac could do was win another decision. I thought Pac fought the way he did against Mosley because: 1. He was scared of Shane's 1 punch power. 2. Mosley only turned up for a payday. Now im thinking all kinds of crazy tehnical crap. Was Mosley's footwork giving Pac trouble (keeping his feet outside of Pac's)? I thought Cotto was of similar technical ability to Shane yet he got destroyed by Pac. I just don't see Pac the same way anymore, last night he looked lost. Do I just know twat all about the sport? Note: I had JMM down as a clear winner.
the mosley win made me realize hes skimming off the top. he should of kicked the living shite out of mosley. the thing is this pac is so easy to predict. u know what he is gonna do even before he does it. the one in 2008 was a world wind demon like the tazmanian devil. he comes at u from all angles. u dont know what he is gonna do
8-4 for Pac. JMM was lazy and did nothing the first 4 rounds, it lost him the fight. Manny had a very off night and JMM still could not bring himself to fight like a champion.
You're drunk. Pac was down 3-1 after 4 rounds. Pac looked confused, was getting tagged with the cleaner, harder shots and being countered silly.
I may have overlooked the Mosley fight, I don't think so. I thought Mosley was defensive and unable to commit to counter-punching because he would have to pay too much (Besides not having the skill). I figured Marquez would try, but Pac would find a way to land and Marquez wouldn't handle the weight and Pac's power as well. Did not really happen that way. Pac has basically lost his eye of the tiger. To make this sound simple as hell it's like Rocky III. The guy's intensity and activity weren't there the way they were in his previous fights.
Mosley was turning Pac in the early part of the fight, I think that was part of Richardson's game plan. The second part was to follow up with counters, but Shane wasn't confident enough to follow through with it. The knock down in the third round only made him more tentative.
Considering how Marquez just beat Pac, and how bad Pac destroyed Oscar and Mosley, even knocking Mosley down, you gotta realize how shot both of them were when fighting Pac and I think Pac was prime then also. I mean who in the world would've thought Pac would knock mosley down but not even hurt Marquez?
Pac kept hitting air. Marquez was more careful about his defence in this fight This content is protected
The T shirt says it all, reminds me of that great champion David Haye. If you can't win just make up a few T shirts.
Me too, Juan is a genius in the ring and Nacho made a perfect gameplan. Juan, Bernard and Floyd are on a different plain with only Ward coming close
did you notice how emmanuel during one of the later rounds actually initiated a clinch because he didn't know wtf was going on?:yep:rofl
