Can someone explain this fascination with “daring to be great”?

There we have it. Admitted by one of the biggest Canelo banana beaters on this forum

    - Judges are biased. If you don’t win the round decisively, it goes to Canelo by default.

    - Let’s ignore that Canelo was the challenger
    - Let’s ignore that Canelo threw and landed almost half of what Bivol landed
    - Let’s ignore that Canelos offence was neutralised
    - Weird how he still received 114-114 against Mayweather then huh…

    Bookmarked.

They don't let me double-thumb-up comments, Cuch. They don't allow for that.

It'd be much more 'daring' if these fighters today actually had to work their way up the ranks before getting a title shot in whichever division they choose to fight in - I think it's up to 94 divisions now? I keep losing count.

I didn’t say it’s okay but think about this Thurman vs Porter was a close fight that Thurman got the nod we’ve seen Thurman run from fights and stalling out fights fake injuries and all kinds of stuff meanwhile outside of waiting to fight Spence Porter fought everybody if Porter got the nod it would have been WAAYYYY better for the sport.

Im not in favor of robberies in no way shape or forum but a guy getting the nod in a close 50/50 fight isn’t a robbery even if I don’t agree with the call and in close fights the money man usually gets the call it’s not fair but it is what it is.
You want to change it then simply fight the fights and become a draw yourself outside of that idk what else you can do except a performance like Bivol where you clearly dominate

Dude almost everybody is bias including you very few people have object neutrality, because most people are too emotionally invested and don’t understand how to detach from there feelings to focus on what’s in front of you.

me I’m a realist in most fights the money man gets the nod in the close round, I score fights by round and in 3, 1 minutes intervals in each round who won each minute by how much and overall the majority of a round.
I personally DO NOT care who wins or loses fights yeah I like to talk trash like any fan but ultimately I don’t care losses happen in every sport to everybody nobody and nothing is unbeatable.

As far as the Bivol fight thought it was a pretty easy win for Bivol a few closeish rounds early but not close enough for me personally to give Canelo either way it is what it is and on to the next, if he loses to GGG or Charlo or something then I’d be concerned but losing to a light heavyweight champ ain’t no sweat more fighters should show such heart.

i like Loma so so on Uysk but I think y’all overblow that fighting in another country thing, everybody wants to come to America for a big fight in Vegas literally every fighter talks about it. That’s the fight capital of the world second nobody in America is from America for real so it’s no real national ties, America is a melting pot and a land of the underdog anybody can come here and make it big that’s literally the American dream. Now I do think that is real in other countries like fighting a Brit in the UK or fighting a Aussie In Australia but it’s different circumstances fighting in the US

I'd rather see them take it to the next level by thinking outside the box.
    This can be very empowering.
