Why is Wilder so feared ever since the AJ fight was rumoured to be made?

12 months ago, Wilder was mocked for his embarrassing style and his embarrassing list of opponents.

In his first real test against an old Ortiz, he was almost out on his feet and saved by the ref/bell.

Now in the past 6 months he's suddenly become this unstoppable force. Where did the mockers go? I still don't rate him. I'm no AJ fan boy, but anyone who boxes him will win, and I believe Fury and AJ beat him.

If anyone can explain how he has become this feared HW aside from his power (which essentially applies to any HW if landed clean) then please enlighten me.

He's not feared, he's just no longer relevant.

Risk aversion when fights get made, people become irrational...

He isn’t an unstoppable force but we don’t really know what Fury has left.

Wilder hits very hard and throws from unorthodox angles where fighters don’t see the shots coming...if he lands it’s good night Vienna more than any other heavyweight...

Fury could barely knock the skin off a rice pudding even if he can dance around it all night and cause ripples in the surface...

Ortiz was a very good win for Wilder, regardless of how close he was to losing. Same with Joshua vs Klitschko. Wilder's stock went up after that win and rightfully so.

Everyone still mocks his style. But his power is there for all to see.

He’s not a great boxer, but his power is monstrous. Fury can easily out box him but if he lands then I fear for Fury.

He's not feared. The general forum has a lot of Wilder fanboys due to them wanting an American HW to be successful.

In reality Wilder is garbage as Spizlka, Washington, Duhurpas and of course Ortiz proved.
