Can someone from the "Parker Robbed" camp explain why Parker, Higgins and Barry all disagree?

    I just find it strange.

I have to be honest, I didn't score it live; I really felt there would be a stoppage. My "feeling" which doesn't count for much, was that Joshua was winning handily.

I'm going to score it soon and i'll post my card here.

What interests me is that Joseph Parker, his promoter, and his trainer all conceeded the fight. They didn't like the refereeing but they all claimed to have felt that they lost the fight.

Now, I understand that Parker may not want to come out and start bleeting about a decision given his public (and private IMO) persona, but what stops Higgins and Barry from gently claiming they won the fight? Neither did this post fight.

Can anybody from the "Parker robbed" camp explain this?

AJ never really got out of second gear, used his longer jab to keep Parker at bay and was never really troubled

Because they dont like Joshua and have an emotion driven agenda. It happens all the time with loafs of fighters.

"Oh the fight went 12 rounds and had some degree of competitiveness, YES I can make silly posts about robberies"

    It's pathetic.

Pft. This doesn't need an explanation.

I thought AJ won (by a tiny margin), but Higgins/Parker/etc aren't the end all, be all authority on boxing.

No reason you can't disagree with their assessment.

People are often their own harshest critics.

I had it 116-113 (7-4-1) Joshua, and couldn't see enough rounds that could be swung for a Parker victory.

The 118-110 2x and 119-109 scorecards were ridiculous, and made clear that Parker never had gotten a fair shake if he had beaten Joshua though.

I had it 117-111. That was with guving the 1st to Parker which could conceivably have gone the other way so far from being "ridiculous" 118-110 was quite possible.

    The 119-109 was too harsh

But that was from the NZ judge so go figure.

Can you think of another example - any from any time in the history of boxing - where a given fighter was robbed and his promoter and trainer came out in favour of the opponent who benefited from the robbery?

Literally any fighter from any era in all of boxing will do.

I really don't care enough to. But in the history of all boxing? I have zero doubt that's happened. Plus tons of crazier stuff.

I don’t think it was a robbery but I did think the score cards where a little wide but that boxing. The main thing is though the right person once.

Once I saw a judge was from NZ I stuck £5 on the SD @ 50-1. And thought I had it in the bag when the final bell went

But that's "no" isn't it? Because if you could think of one, you would have typed it.

Are people saying he was robbed in terms of the wide scores or are people claiming parker won? if the later what the ****ing ****? i was routing for parker and struggled to give him 3 rounds. You can't possibly be serious?

Yeah, few people in the RBR had it for Parker, a half dozen have voted accordingly in the poll thread, and CST80 was doing his napper.

Hopeully everyone has had a little rethink in the interim.

This. Where are the people saying Parker won? I feel like there is a huge misunderstood idea about the so called "robbery". I had it 116 112 or 117 111. Both scores wouldn't bother me. Yes Joshua won, but the thing that people are probably trying to say is even if Parker was about to win, he would never get a decision in the UK.
