    are you sure? because if i can remember it right. Floyd inherited the status after hop got beaten by taylor, and Hop inherited the status after jones got beaten by tarver.

    Not that I like defending Pac, but both Floyd Mayweather and Bernard Hopkins got the p4p titles by default aswell

    Floyd when Hopkins list to Taylor

    Hopkins when Roy Jones lost to Tarver




    Whats interesting is that Oscar de la Hoya, Felix Trinidad and Shane Mosley all gained their #1 p4p status' by defeating the current p4p #1 or former #1 p4p something that neither Pac, Floyd, Hopkins or even Roy Jones did.
