how the whole Shane Mosley debacle happened? Did he test positive for substance abuse or how was he found out? I can't find news on it anywhere...

shane mosely said himself he took steroids before the de le hoya fight. it was part of the balco scandal from memory. marion jones /dwain chambers etc etc.
Balco passed their supplements as legit. They did not tell Mosley that their supplements contained steroid.
No it's true. Marion Jones didn't know when she initially took it either. She found out later prior to her being questioned by the feds. Than she lied about it. Shane was in the same situation. U gotta understand, these guys paid BALCO 10k, 12k, or in Barry's case 15k per month for nutrtion , diet and work out, supplements and they were approved by MLB, NFL and a number of other ADA's out there. Conte was the guy who behaved maliciously and outed everyone who never knew exactly what the deal was. They all heard rumours but BALCO was approved and jocks were spending a lot of money. Conte cut a sweet deal with the feds, saved himself a life in prison for fraud and collusion and ratted out every athlete who didn't have a clue what was going on until too late.
