thats a possibility but one has to give respect to the old dogs in king and arum, they're old school and they have been doing this **** since DLH was still in his dads scrotum...Things could change when they're gone, for the worse or for the better who knows. I hope for the better but we will never know that.

 

Personally, I think Arum is the best promoter out there today. He knows how to build fighters and make them household names-ODH, Mayweather, now with Cotto and Pavlik. He knows you cant help make a fighter better by feeding him to the wolves every time out. He understands how to season a fight-you just can't make a fight just to make it, you have to let it resonate and build it up, so that it becomes a huge event.

People need to understand that Pavlik-Wright is not that big of a fight right now, outside of us boxing lovers, who else cares?

Out of all promoters right now, I think Golden Boy is the worst by far. I'll take Bob Arum and Don King any day of the week over GBP.

I look at it like this. When the PAN in Mexico took over the presidency they started making HUGE improvements within the Public Sector.

I asked my grandpa who lives in MX who he voted for and he said he voted for the PRI (a party that had ruled for 70 straight years!!!) I asked him why would he do that? He said because they built schools and some other nonsense. I told him that ofcourse they built schools, any goverment would have, it's a given. I then asked him if life was a bit better with PAN and he said yes. Streets and getting maintained, he is getting his pension check on time now, and other things. He gave PRI credit for building schools in the 70 years they ruled.:roll: What about the country being a crap hole.atsch

Point is, just because they were our only option King and Arum doesn't mean they were good. They ripped of many good people in boxers, they single handedly made boxing into a corrupt sport with very little credibility, they ruined the HW division and palyed along with ethe ABC organizations.

Can't wait for the day they are out of boxing.
