He chased Rigo around the ring and Rigo ran like a ***** duh . Don't believe me watch the fight again and listen to the crowds .

I had it 117-110, giving Donaire the 2nd and 10th (10-8 because of the kd), so I'm really just playing Devil's advocate.

2nd was close, but Donaire connected with a couple of body shots and a decent hook to just shade the round against Rigo, who connected with a couple of counters in turn.

4th was pretty tight, with the two exchanging hard shots at the end. I had Rigo just shading this stanza, but they both made fairly cases for taking this frame.

7th could have been called for Donaire, and a lot of people did, simply because Rigo didn't throw all that much that round, but defended well enough to prevent a more active Donaire from landing anything significant.

10 was Donaire's due to the kd (of course, since it was a flash kd and since Rigo won the rest of the round, it could have been called 10-9 instead of 10-8).

That's a 115-112 scorecard for Rigo, if you award Donaire all those rounds.

Of course, you could give Rigo three of the four (10th excepted, of course), and get a pretty lopsided scorecard as a result. But if you give Donaire the benefit of the doubt, a fairly close scorecard is possible...even if it doesn't reflect the fact that Rigo more or less dictated the tempo and dominated Donaire for much of the way.

Whats the crowd have to do with it? an audience simply wants action doesnt matter where or who they get it from they expect blood and guts all the time.

But that has Zero effect on the scoring, Rigo boxed well give him credit man, you can blame him for running all you want I wouldnt call that running he walked away from Donaire IMO until he felt comfortable throwing a scoring shot thats ring generalship right there.

Dont blame Rigo for moving thats part of the game blame Nonito for not cutting off the ring properly and trapping Rigo.

 

That's what the judges saw. As I've said had Donaire won rounds 11 and 12 he could've won it via SD :hi::hi::hi:

Well, Rigondeaux definitely won, but there definitely were alot of tough to score rounds though, you could probabley give Donaire 3-4 rounds.

 

Exactly, and because there were allot of close tough rounds to score, that does not mean that Rigo was not in control or didnt out box Donaire in a sense he simply took some rounds off or worked less in rounds which is how I can see some having it close, But 114-113 close I dont think so....

 

I actually found it very easy to score, one of the easiest bouts I've scored actually.

It was clear who was landing the clean, effective punches in all the rounds, it was clear who was the ring general, it was clear who was chasing the bout.
