Can someone please help me ID the fighter in this photo

    Hi

    Could someone please help me identify the fighter in this photo standing behind Kevin Rooney and Mike Tyson?

    This was taken in the Catskills in 1988.

    My first thought would be Carl "The Truth" Williams but I am uncertain.

    Sorry about blurring the Tyson pic out but this is part of an unpublished collection.

    On second thoughts it looks a little like Tony Tucker

    That is not Tucker. Looks very much like Carl Williams.

    Carl Williams fought and beat Berbick on the undercard of Tyson-Spinks in June 1988, in which Trump was involved, so I imagine it was around that time.

    BTW, Buster Douglas also fought on that card and looked impressive in dispatching Mike Williams.

    Thanks guys.

    As you can see from my original post I thought it was Carl Williams but wasn't 100% sure.

    I knew you classic boys could ID him.

    Carl Holness is up in Stoke and I assist him from the East of England.

    Carl has the best mobile number and the best cars :lol:

    Did he have to buy that number or was it random?

    I think you left me an answer message when Leonard was coming over about bringing Leonard to the North East but i had a broken phone for 2 weeks.

    One of his organisations works in partnership with a telecoms company to develop new mobile technologies so perhaps they hooked him up. I am meeting with him tomorrow morning so I will ask him :D I want one of those :lol:
