Look scar you can packge it how ever you want but the bottom line is cotto has been on a losing streak and is obviously now cashing in on big fights before he retires.

So what if he lost to Khan in 2010?. He came back strong and is currently a champion at welterweight. Didn't Maidana completely ignore Mayweather to offer Khan a free rematch at welterweight recently only to get a glorious "I have bigger fish to fry" twitter knock out?

Indeed he is and so is Martinez because both earned this position in the ring, not on twitter. That's how you score big fights.

No he really isn't. He has proven that. Cotto on the other hand still shows sparks of greatness, and actually looks like a new fighter with Roach. Khan looks great on twitter, but progressively worse in the ring every fight. No one is being hypocritical (that's the correct spelling my friend) especially when talking about past or present accomplishments regarding khan and your absolutely asinine comparison of him to cotto....Just spitting the truth, that's all.

In which he earned by fighting the absolute best he could at the time they were presented to him. He has been in all out wars, and his people love him for it.

    Something Khan knows nothing about.

Cotto actually fought Rodriguez, Trout, Maweather, Concreto and Mayorga in his last 5, he lost 2 of those. In Khan's last 5 fights he fought Diaz, Molina, Garcia, PEDerson, and Judah and lost 2 of those.

Indeed and he lost to the likes of Mayweather and Trout. Khan almost got killed against Diaz and had to stay inactive for a year in hopes of getting a free payday. Had he stayed active the chances of getting sparked off the major scene for good were rather high.

They sure as hell didn't bark on twitter for one year to desperately stay relevant. I do agree that both Ortiz and Guerrero were joke opponents but compared to Khan they are as solid as can be.

Read my post again, dumbass. I made it clear that both are definitely joke opponents but compared to Khan they're not.

You can go on and on about how Khan doesn't deserve the fight, but fact is now Mayweather is fighting somebody that this undeserving fighter beat a couple years ago.
And it's not like Maidana suddenly transformed into a top 5 welterweight over night, his biggest accomplishment is beating guys that got stopped by the Collazos and outboxed by the Malignaggis of this world.
Floyd is a ****ing *****, watch out how he will duck Bradley after he beats Pacquiao again, same **** different day.
The two most deserving opponents are under contract with Bob Arum, and if Floyd would care just a little bit about his legacy he would at least try to make the fights that the boxing-world really wants to see.
Now he is having his fingers crossed that Cotto(e) beats Sergio(e) so he can collect another strap and another gazillion dollars by beating somebody (again) that doesn't have a chance.
I'm sick of this ****...I didn't watch Ortrees, Guerrero and I won't watch Maidana bc it's a foregone conclusion and another fight that doesn't add anything to his legacy.
The Alvarez and Cotto fights were good, but I definitely wouldn't pay for any of those "stay busy/rob the boxing public" fights.
Floyd basically says "If you are dumb enough to pay me for fighting those no hopers it's your fault, I'm content being a rich coward in the general public eyes,np".
Fair enough, but I don't have to be part of this charade, luckily everybody can decide for their own how they spend their time/money.

And the man that Khan beat a couple of years ago is a Welterweight champion today coming off solid victories in the ring, not on twitter.

    Bull****!

Lets see what Maidana has done since getting his ass handed to him by Khan, almost getting knocked out by a body-shot in the process...

    - He went life and death with an ancient, fat Erik Morales, some folks even think he lost that fight.

    - He got dominated and humiliated by DEVON ALEXANDER. He didn't manage to win a single round vs DEVON ALEXANDER FFS!!!

    - He won fights vs opposition he had to win to even stay somewhat relevant, since when do victories over Josesito Lopez or Jesus Soto Karass make you a top5-welterweight? Petr Petrov, Angel Martinez? LOL...

    - His single biggest accomplishment is beating a guy that arguably lost his last fight vs Paulie Malignaggi (!!!) after jumping two weight classes, that's it. Soto Karass could've probably done that to Broner, the guy is all hype, he lost to Ponce de Leon and a couple of other midgets ffs.

    - Then there was this other hype job that just got retired by the great Luis Collazo, pulling a quit-job on Maidana after beating him from pillow to post, knocking him down multiple times in the process. Impressive.

Maidana has done nothing remotely close worthy to being considered to earn a shot vs the p4p-king, period.

What a load of crybaby garbage. Unlike you, I'm going to judge Maidana based on what he has done recently, not what happened years ago. Here's a reminder, Maidana is the WBA Welterweight Champion, what has Amir Khan done recently in comparison?. Bernard Hopkins never deserved all the shots he got either!, I mean let's face it!, he lost his pro debut!. All these guys that gave him a shot after that were a bunch of frauds that forgot he lost his pro debut!. You have no case whatsoever when Mayweather's only alternative is Amir "Twitter Champion" Khan.
