Bivol's stamina is good. What are you talking about. And his KO % is over 50%. The dude has power. The real question is: how will he deal with Canelo, who is something he has never seen before? Canelo is tough as teak, carries a big punch and has excellent defence and counterpunching. But, more importantly, he and his team are excellent at gameplanning. I suspect that Canelo will invest heavily in the body to soften Bivol up for the late rounds. If you slow Bivol down and take away his feet, half of what makes him so special is gone. And if I, a random schmuck on the internet, can see this, then for sure so has Team Ginger.
He's a massively overrated fighters that the Canelo nut huggers have been hyping up for the past year. Then when Canelo beats him we will all have to marvel at Canelo's pound for pound greatness.
Canelos last few fights has been dodgy as hell, there is definitely some **** going on behind the scenes
Bivol will be out-boxing Canelo easily until he gets caught tyhen we`ll se if he can survive, he`s open to the body though and Canelo throws good hooks to tyhe body tat could swing things in Canelo`s favour.
Canelo hits harder than Smith Jr? Dude...you don't know **** about boxing bro. Canelo is great in breaking opponents down but he's not a skilled boxer. He got outboxed in a lot of fights.
He’s a class fighter. I’ve said for a while this is Canelo’s toughest fight from 160 to 175. Bivol boxes brilliantly at range and moves well. Similarities to Caleb Plant who caused Canelo problems, but Bivol is better. Very tough fight for Canelo.
Excellent albeit basic boxer with fast hands, feet and reflexes. Very sound defensively and doesn't get hit much at all, using his fast feet to keep out of trouble and his high guard to block when he is range. Contrary to popular belief he can actually punch a bit and this long run of points wins has a lot to do with the size and durability of many of his opponents he's fought during that time and his reluctance to shift gears and take the necessary risks to try and secure the stoppage. Out of Pascal, Smith, Chilemba, Salamov, and Richards only Pascal has ever been stopped or rather stopped legitimately and that was by a prime absolutely savage punching Kovalev. Pascal is crazy tough. And those guys are all significantly heavier than him too. FTR, Bivol and Clenelo weigh roughly the same as each other. Bivol has a decent chin and has never been down albeit Smith hurt him badly with a big right hand over the top at the end of round 9 or 10 IIRC which caught him square on the temple. No disgrace there as Smith hits like a truck and has either KO'd, stopped, dropped or badly hurt everyone he's fought at the world level and you'd have to go way back before then to find someone he didn't hurt. But Bivol hasn't looked near back to his best yet since coming back from the 19 months of inactivity and has been poor by his standards even though he's been facing a much lower level of opposition than he was dazzling against prior to then which is something I'm sure hasn't gone unnoticed by the Ginger Deck-Stacking Demon whose blades have been kept super sharp by fighting very regularly.
Very good in every area. But he fights up and down to the opponent. However good the opponent is, he makes sure he is just a bit better. I liken him to Winky Wright..................turns up more based on the opponent.
Technical excellence, very high ring IQ, accuracy, defensive instincts, & punch selection; above-average but not exceptional speed, power, reflexes and chin. Other intangibles like heart and creativity might be more in the dead average realm.
100% I honestly don't get how everyone doesn't see it. The idea of a fixed fight never even came across my head as a possibility until I saw Canelo "fight" Kovalev. It's got to the point where I'm thinking why tf aren't everyone calling this out? Why are there no investigations? Fights like Yildrim or Kovalev should at least warrant some investigation. Its quite disgusting really, conning and deceiving millions of people
