What are some fights of his to see the potential greatness in him. I've only seen his fights against SRL,Chavez & Rosairo

    Jose Luis Ramirez
    Rafael Limon
    Rafael Solis
    Howard Davis Jr

All show Camacho in a good light the Davis fight is a rare fight after the infamous Rosario fight where you still see the old aggression from Camacho.

Good choices. I’ve always enjoyed Camacho. No one is making a mistake investing time in learning about him by way of watching his fights. His handspeed was pure joy to see.

Regardless of when he fought them, think of all he could teach us getting in with Leonard, De La Hoya, Trinidad, Duran and Chavez…

@AntonioMartin1 probably has some stories for us.

One thing about Hector, I think he only went down like once in his career? When it came time for him to take an ass-whupping against a superior fighter, he was there for it. He used his legs and tried to avoid the worst of it, but he absolutely never looked for an easy way out.

True. For a guy I dislike so much, he got my respect taking that colossal beating from Julio.

And he went out like a G.

That’s why I’ve always had so much respect for Meldrick Taylor he had balls, it wasn’t his speed that was his most outstanding attribute… yeah it hurt him but he has his pride intact long live the iron man from Philly.

The interesting thing about Camacho is that he was very averse to being hit, but how many could say they went the distance with punchers like Chavez, DLH and Trinidad, not to mention Rosario. The sad thing is he could really take it. He only seemed to accept that when he was no longer the force he had been as a young man.
