I hear alot about him and have not seen enough of him since he was before my time. When i ask my dad and his friends they really dont say much like they do about Sanchez and JCC.
Why is this? From what i read he was a great technical boxer which is not very appealing to the Mexican crowd but that is my type of fighter.

Fill me in on him. I will probably spend all night watching his fights tonight.

Finito was an excellent boxer. Imo he could do it all. He could box or brawl (and he had power to boot). He was also very technically sound defensively, and one of the best out there at slipping under punches with his great movement. Check out his fights, im sure there are some on youtube

You don't hear too much about him because he was in a weight class that no one gives a **** about. P4P he is very underrated definatly one of the best I've ever seen. Like cardstars says he could do it all.

one of the purest all around fighters ever.....imagine juan m marquez to the
    3rd power......

what i loved about finito was the fact that he would lead with any punch in the book and make it look hella good.......he would lead with hooks, uppercuts etc etc.....

    look him up

His power was underrated - 38 KO'S in 51 wins at that low weight. Unbeaten and only draw was revenged. Like said before could lead and throw any punch

Finito Lopez is easily one of the most underrated fighters of his era and one of my favorite fighters of all time. He could do it all a master technician.

Wow sounds like my type of fighter. I like the JMMs of the boxing world. They are so underestimated when i think they should be regarded higher than the Mike Tysons of the world.

Watch JMM. then imagine a smaller JMM. They basically have the same style. Nacho Style.

I think he is a more "boxer" version of JMM.

great technician. maybe the best of the era.

he fought everybody he could find going abroad to korea, japan thailand.

he would win every round with his left jab until he would finished you off with a left hook, a right cross or an uppercut. it didnt matter what punch he chose becuase you would be out, he could do it all.

i heard that christy martin was getting bigger pay days than him on don king undercards!!!

it wasnt that he was a boring fighter or anythign he just was too small a fighter to take notice of. he had his best results at light fly i feel and i think that he got the most recognition at this wieght.also becuase he fouthg abroad mexican fans didnt seem him in his prime performances.
