It's all bull****. Seriously, you can't buy that lol. Just Hopkins being "nice", nice meaning condescending as ****. It's easy to be "nice" when you win like that. You need to get that slickness that a black fighter has? How corny. He loses and it's back to crying.

That's how Hopkins was referring to one of Pavlik's cornermen.

Just a lil' Hopkins gamesmanship. Threw a few blows after the final bell and made like he still wanted to continue fighting Pavlik who offered up no resistance in return. He just stood there lookin' destroyed with a "Why, Bernard, why?" look on his sulking face. And while the handlers were piling into the ring one of Pav's handlers can be seen/heard saying "Real classy." And he was right. Shout out to B-Hops.

P.S. To all those saying B-Hop showed alotta class after the fight when he was speakin' to Kelly, no he didn't. He just went out of his way to son that kid that's all. ****in' hilarious if you ask me.

Although Hopkins was thinking of Jones, he was also aware of what Pavlik was going through.

After the fight, which will be replayed next Saturday (midnight ET/PT) on HBO, he went over to speak to him.

"Don't let this fight destroy you," Hopkins told him. "You're a great middleweight champion. You have a great heart. Keep your head up. Keep fighting. You have to learn one thing. You have to learn that slickness that black fighters have and then you'll really be a great champion. I don't want you to quit. If I have to go to your house and take you to the gym, I will."

Oh hell no! That seems so damn racist if he really said that ****. Is that what he said word for word? If so, man that was condescending.

Remember KP's Ring magazine interview before this fight? I think Hopkins is referencing it in a subtle way, but those comments can be construed as racist.

Someone in Hopkins corner was saying you got that ass beat or some **** to Pavlik right after the bell.

How? Pavlik is very upright and very awkward, I think all B-Hop was talking about is the tendency you'll see for black fighters to use more of their athleticism in their styles.

Totally agree, there was no need for that, Pavlik got outboxed, he didn't fight a smart fight, he lost the match. You don't go over and 'give advice', Hopkins wanted to knock him out and destroy him after the bell went, he couldn't so he tried to give Pavlik a mental KO blow afterwards. For Pavliks sake i hope he just let that **** slide over his head and move on. Hopkins is a crafty fighty but he's never had any class.

Yeah, I just read a different way the conversation went down on another forum. I think he was trying to offer encouragement, but in a "pat the little boy on the head' type of way. :yep

I think he could have left out the black fighters comment as it was unnecessary. I noticed that Pavlik didn't go over and congratulate him after the fight. Now that was "classy" wasn't it.
