People always doubt boxers courage, despite the fact they risk their lives every time they step in the ring.

Look how people doubted Floyd having the courage to face Pac, or Canelo having the courage to face everyone he's faced, or Pac having the courage to face Cotto.

Thurman clearly isn't scared. I hope the fight gets made at some point, Thurman might well duck him but in his situation he has nothing to gain from doing so.

You are missing the point. It’s not about physical courage Thurman is afraid to lose to Spence period because he does not think he can win.

Again people have always said this about other fighters such as Floyd not wanting to lose his 0.

I don't buy it. The fighter will fight anyone. The team around them might advise against it.

But right now Thurman has no belt, no drawing power and nowhere else to go.

It's Spence or Crawford or leave the division.

I know it all evens out and everything but that second Mosley fight. Damn it. I also had ODLH beating Trinidad but was more convinced he beat Mosley. Such a shame too because Mosley winning the first fight is fair enough, no disputes there. I wanted Oscar to take on them evils in court after such a robbery. :p

I'll have to wait and see with Spence.

If Spence beats Pac and adds a third title, I'm sure Thurman would love to get a shot at him, since there aren't any better options out there.

The way the climate is in boxing today, that you all of a sudden is a nobody if you get beat, fighters naturally won't take the really risky fights if there isn't a substantial reward for it, but at the end of the day they're there to make money and in general they won't shy away from the best opportunities to make that money.

Floyd was not afraid of anybody and his resume proves it! Spence does not respect Thurman in the way he respects Danny Garcia, Kell Brook and Shawn Porter because Thurman studiously avoided him when he was champion.

    I love Spence

    but no

The parties me and Oscar had with Floyd back in the day were littttttt

& you don't have to worry about Oscar driving his supercar back home and rolling it into a lampost either...Oscar was always passed out with some hooker or in front of the fridge.

    Good times.

This so exactly the point i make.

People will always a use fighters of avoiding others.

How many times have we seen it claimed Floyd avoided Pac when they were both belt holders?

Thurman will end up facing Spence. I'm confident, just as I was Floyd would end up facing Pac.

Oscars overrated. I understand why he’s popular. Proper fighter but lost too many fights to justify his reputation some place on him. Is a fans fighter however (prior to the fishnets) in how he operated and took on all comers

His highlight real is immense snd took part in more classics then almost anyone but lost most of them. Appreciate he was unfortunate in some. Total respect for the guy but just lost too many to be the best. It’s unfortunate when you’re too good and get criticised for not being in a war like Floyd is. What a ******* for winning and not walking into punches like Rocky Balboa

Of course he can. He's on a good track to catch up and pass De La Hoya.

I'm going to have to say no. Spence is willing to fight anyone but the only other WW that matters (Crawford). Being a ducker PBC type cat automatically moves a fighter down a few notches from whatever their overall ability and accomplishments might otherwise suggest. On the other hand you have ODLH who was willing to fight any and everyone.
