    Fitz felt that Corbett had given him the run-around and that his behaviour towards him was very reprehensible so he determined never to give him a re-match.

    I get that impression, but he would undoubtedly have been under more pressure, if Corbett had beaten Sharkey.

    Corbett basically handed him an excuse on a plate.

    They seem to have reconciled later.

    It's not like Corbett made it easy for Fitz to get a title shot either. Fitz chased him for years.

    I provided two links that said his father was Jewish, and Max himself identified with being Jewish. So he is clearly a product of Jewish blood. How much I care not to debate.

    Looking for something more definitive .. being banned in Germany because of rumor of being Jewish proves nothing ... as far as the other book it seems like a device concept in search of an audience .. I'd like to know the specific facts of the matter .. wh was Jewish, how far back, etc .. he could be Jewish like Warren is native american ..

    The creep is Mendoza , first he does his usual, gallops to Jeffries defence ,when Jeffries is just one of the 5 champions in the title thread, then he reverts to his usual disparaging of Jack Johnson who has nothing to do with this thread ,then he obsesses about who passes down their heritage among Jews.The mans a **** of the first order,and needs balancing with a piece of lead, preferably from a 44 magnum.
