Let’s say Tank goes on to knockout Garcia and then go on to beat the winner of Hayne Vs Lomachenko and then goes on to defend the undisputed championship against the likes of Vergil Ortiz and George Kambosos and then steps up in weight and wins a title in another weight class. Would he be able to surpass Mayweathers greatness?

I reckon Fury would surpass Ali if he beats Usyk, then beats Joyce, then beats AJ, then beats Anderson and every other up and coming heavyweight and then does it all over 1 more time.

How can you not see what's wrong with your post?

Floyd is so far ahead of any fighter currently it’s not even funny, the biggest issue is main these guys not constantly fighting each other, accomplishments look good but most these guys be having padded records instead of being proven so even a good win on a All Time scale is really just average.

Of course not. These guys are nowhere near pretty boy Floyd, let alone money.
They dont fight enough for that.

No, the guy’s already talking about retirement. I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes a long break after Garcia.

Is Vergil chopping a leg off to make 135?

 You ****ing had me there!
I felt my blood starting to boil.

@Austinboxing Tank won´t be even able to catch up. Both turned pro at 18/19. Yet at 28 Floyd had already beaten Chop Chop Corley, Jose Luis Castillo, Diego Corrales, Angel Manfredy and Genaro Hernandez.
He also beat guys like Gregorio Vargas, Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Chavez and Arturo Gatti.
Heck, the last 4 basically take a dump on Tank´s entire resume. (I might be a bit hyperbolic here)
Floyd is mainly remembered for what he did at 147 and 154. But he beat a lot of top contenders and big names at the lower weights. He fought top ranked opponents like Sharmba Mitchell, Henry Bruseles and Phillip Ndou. Who altho weren´t really all that much, were still able to get high rankings at the time.

WHAT THE **** HAS TANK DONE?
He beat Jose Pedraza. It was a fantastic win over a really good guy. Pedraza has managed to squeeze himself into the top 10 in 3 different divisions.
Liam Walsh? Clearly not world level.
Francisco Fonseca managed to get a world ranking, for a long while, but he clearly did not belong there.
    Cuellar
was basically the same as Fonseca. And he moved up in weight, only to find 0 success there.
Hugo Ruiz was pretty good... but his best days were at 118 and 122. He had no business fighting Tank at 130.
    Ricardo Nunez ???
Gamboa was waaaay past his prime. But I do think Tank should get some credit for being able to stop Gamboa.
Emo Santa Cruz! By far the best name on Tank´s resume. But there was one tiny issue. LSC had clearly avoided the best for nearly 3 years. The only exception was a rematch with Mares, who at the time was considered by most to be on the downslope. So it was a fight between two clearly talented guys, who had name recognition, yet had avoided the best in their respective divisions. The exact same as Garcia vs Davis now.
Mario Barrios? Decent boxer who managed to make his way into the top 10 at 140.
Isaac Cruz. Probably the second best name on Davis´ resume. I think Cruz will be a future champ at 135. He has his flaws, but he is talented and still young.
Rolly Romero is likely a top 10 contender.
Hector Luis Garcia is pretty good.

I regret going so deep into this. One guy actively chased the top of the sport to make as much money as possible, the other took every detour imaginable to just make a big enough paycheck.

TLDR; Tank will never even be able to sniff Floyd´s jockstraps.

I'm not one that thinks Floyd is TBE but the man won a legit world championship at 21 years old and was still a real world champion at 38 years old.

What modern fighter can compare? Maybe Shakur will come close if he can stay unbeaten until 2038. :)
