Kessler and Abraham are in the middle of their chareer, not at the end like RJJ. At that stage of RJJs chareer his resume (in my oppinion) was not better than Abrahams and worse than Kesslers.

Sidenote: I don´t want to discredit him (actually I like RJJ) but this "protected euro bum" blabla gets on my nerves....

Seranta.. I do apologize for using the derrogatory "euro bums" term. I can respect your point of view. I like both fighters, but Kessler especially has to step up his level of competition or compete at all!!

thankfully he's fighting tomorrow and in the tournament. The Super 6 will truly write the book On Kessler's career. If he has a good run, he will shake the critics who say he aint fight nobody (however, some haters will always say fighters never fight anybody)

I agree with you that Kessler has to fight more world class boxers now as Abraham has to. But Kesslers resume isn´t that bad in the past but the last years were a bit of a letdown because of his promoter Palle. As for Abraham I believe him that he wanted to fight the best at MW but didn´t get the opportunity (for whatever reason). They both had the balls to enter the super-six. Emagine what a tournament in the 90s with boxers like RJJ, Calzhage, Hops, Toney, Ottke, Michalczewski, Rocchigiani... would have been like :deal

 

Chambers just won a not so wide fight with Universums last heavyweight with title chances in Dimitrenko, on points. So why should it be "impossible" "because it's in germany" ? "El Gallo" won a close fight against Trabant where more that one was robbed of a draw, Moorer won vs. Schulz, Hill vs. the german icon of the 90s Henry Maske, Gonzales "beat" Michalczewski throwing nothing but weak jabs backpeddling from corner to corner, Sanavia won a close decision against Beyer, and so on. It's just the trashtalk from the losing camp when their hero did not get the decision in a close fight, or often even when their hero was beaten from pillar to post just without getting stopped. Thank you for some sanity! There have been corrupt decisions in Germany as well as close decision against hometown fighters, just like any other place. I remember Graciano Rocchigiani schooling Chris Eubank in Berlin, even Eubanks corner thought they were losing the fight and it was scored a draw.

I don't believe that we will see any robberies. If AA really is capable of winning a lot of rounds and if there are some rounds which could be given to either man, then - of course - the decision could be in favor of AA, but I don't believe that AA can win that many rounds.

 

The controversy will be what it always is with Taylor. While I had Taylor comfortably ahead in the Froch fight, I could EASILY understand judges giving more rounds to Froch. As I've said before, Taylor threw the 'cleaner' punches, Froch threw the 'effective' punches. Taylor looks prettier, but in the end, damage counts. I could easily see AA doing double the damage per punch compared to Taylor. How do you score it? Double damage accumulates much faster if you are the one getting hit.
