Imagine if super welterweight division had been around earlier. Robinson , Napoles, Griffith
Armstrong and a young La Motta would have to being added to the list. Plus many others.

Tito only had a few fights at 154. Canelo did more at that weight.

Most people forget Norris beat Quicy Taylor who became a middleweight champion latter. Norris also beat Jorge Castro easily.
Norris had the speed and power along with boxing skills to be top 5 but Norris had a bad habit of wanting to exchange blows when it wasn't in his best interest.
Had Norris shown more discipline in boxing more rather then getting into exchanges he would be top 5. As is he is easily in top 10.
For the record he stops Cotto easily and knocks out Trinadad.

I wouldn't have him in the top 5 . His defeat s while in prime knock him down a few places. I would have him about 7 . But on his best day a force to be reckoned with.

Blimey. You pull Juppity up for spelling Napoles as Naples then call Trinidad 'Titus'! Physician, heal thyself!

I know Terry Norris is in the Hall of Fame, but I never considered him a great fighter while he was active. He went on a nice little run for about three years, but he was too inconsistent.

One of those "right place, right time" kind of guys. Historically, though, against other all-timers, I don't think he'd do too well.

Hell, I don't even know if he could beat the Charlos or Canelo, and I don't know if I'd put them among the best ever, either.

Plus, Norris was a small super welter. He'd barely crack 150 for some of his fights. These guys today would outweigh him by 20 pounds on fight night.

I would place McCallum #1 at #2 Norris, I think he could beat Leonard here no matter what, and I think he gets to Hearns with that Left before hearns Ko's him, I say in 10 fights, Norris Ko's Hearns 6x and tommy gets him 4x they are that close in my mind, and no way it ever gets to a decision, if either gets hit, they are going down and out.

    Hearns would decimate Norris.

Clearly you never watched Norris' career. In his prime, he was destroyed by Julian Jackson. (Who himself lost to McCallum). And, most posters believe Hearns would beat Jackson at 154. The Leonard that fought Norris was a shell of the prime Leonard. And, let's not forget that an over the hill Simon Brown knocked Norris out badly. So, it is not logical to put Norris at #2. He was a great fighter. But, probably not top 5.

I would say yes, as far as accomplishments at that weight. Head to head? No way.

Prime Leonard and Hearns would beat him and he'd only beat Jackson if he ran around and picked and poked for 12 rounds. Doubt he could beat Prime Curry or Trinidad, either.
