I haven't been following boxing long, or seen every fight from every top fighter for the last 25 years, but I would say RJJ from what I've seen.

Tyson, hands down. The guy gave boxing life again. Everybody loves the brutal KO. But, I do like fighters who stick to a plan and execute that plan. Interesting to watch. There's no better sport.

Roy Jones has this, pretty easily too.

Calzaghe, as good as he is, never really impresses me that much.

hard pick. 1 or 2 years more i would've pick my alltime picks in Sanchez and Leonard, i love roy, but whitaker does have the better resume. he wasn't that bad to watch. i liked his wars with a prime paez, the black mamba uncle roger mayweather was no joke, and with the always dangerous diobelys hurtado. also i'll always remember him for that punch behind his back he did to the professor Nelson. no one other than Duran showed more confidence and pride like Whitaker did

From what I've seen, Sweet Pea: even against top opposition, he seemed to know what his opponent would do, even before the opponent himself knew it. He was slick and defensive, but at the same time exciting; furthermore, he wasn't afraid to mix it up from time to time. That said, I'm a sucker for defensive boxers like Pep, Locche and Whitaker, so.... yeah.

Maybe you haven't watched Sweet Pea that much and haven't noticed his level of opposition? :huh

Don't get me wrong, I love Roy, but to say he's greater than Whitaker?

Whitaker fought EVERYBODY that was there to fight, plus his skills were amazing.

PS: I HAVEN'T INCLUDED GUYS LIKE HAGLER, HEARNS, LEONARD etc BECAUSE I DON'T THINK THEIR PEAKS WERE IN THIS TIME-PERIOD.

HOWEVER, MICHAEL SPINKS AND MIKE McCALLUM SHOULD BE CONSIDERED IMO.
