...or do their styles of fighting make it inevitable that it will be a safety first and just overall boring fight?

Tough call. I'll predict that it likely won't have alot of action. It would be up to Hopkins to press the fight but he has to be wary of Holt's power, and we know Kendall won't do it.

It probably will be, but I like the fight considering the circumstances. Hopkins is a legit contender and he stepped up to the plate on such very short notice. I think he was a punk for pulling out of the Witter fight but give him props for taking this fight.

The one factor that can possibly make this fight entertaining is that Holt does have a very shaky chin and if Hopkins lands something on Holt that has Holt in trouble then we might see Holt fighting out of urgency which can make for an entertaining fight.

I sure hope it is, but Holt is in the fight so I'm confident it should be entertaining.

Depends on Hopkins if he chooses to fight like he did against Tarver/Pavlik then we should be in for some fun. If he fights like he did against Taylor god help us all!

Yuri Foreman being on the undercard makes this fight 10000x more exciting on premise alone.

I can guarantee you that Yuri will have you guys yearning for Cory Spinks.

^ oh thanks for reminding me about Foreman being on the undercard/co-feature

    what a bummer, lol.

with Foreman on the co-feature + Holt main eventing ... it could be one of the more boring cards of the year .. potentially at least.

hopefully the Holt/Hopkins winner moves on to fight T-Bradley next year.

I think Holt will carry his confidence from a loss avenging KO1, and look for the stoppage.

I had tickets to this fight, but got a ****ing refund. I am in no way paying the same amount for this as I woulda for the rubbermatch with Torres

Not only that, but there seems to be some legitimate bad blood between the two. According to a certain confidential site, they got into it a few years back. Apparently Holt called Hopkins a "***** ass *****," and Hopkins punched him in the grill. Supposedly Holt then called the cops.

Anywho, on a certain site regarding news and fights, there's audio from a teleconference between the two and things got pretty heated. It's a hilarious listen.

I'm looking forward to this one, though not nearly as much as Holt-Torres III.
