I'm watching the commonwealth games very impress with what I saw from the Indian boxing contingents. Do you think some of these youngsters will enter the pros? Pakistan already has a champ in Amir Khan he's a heck of BOXER extremely fast and exposive.Makes me wonder why India don't have any champs? surely anyone can see they got what it takes.Boxing becomes popular in India, watch out!!
Cricket is by far the most popular sport in India so it'll be difficult for the sport to catch on the masses. The caste system doesn't help either. With that said, a population that large has got to have some boxing talent hidden somewhere so I'd have to say that we'll eventually see a belt holder from the area.
For sure. For the meantime i'm enjoying watching the Indian boxers in the common wealth games.Smashing work lads!! 2 of em destroyed their oppo's.. :happy
Firstly, Pakistan hasnt produced Amir Khan so this isnt relevant to India's case. I do think an Indian boxer will come through at some point. Boxing is reasonably popular over there and didnt one guy win silver in Beijing?
True! Pakistan didn't produce khan or hamed. They a British with Pakistani origin. That's like saying Africa produced floyd and Ali.
Amir is of pakistan decent but is british, i find it very unlikely that india or palkistan will actually produce a world boxing champion in the pro game.
