Yeh, but the OP is asking if Sergio could put his MW belt up if Sergio came in under 154. I think it's legal, but it would be a disgrace. If he wanted to go for the actual MW title let Sergio come in at 160(or if there must be a catchweight 158) and show up at whatever weight you want underneath said limit.

If you want to win a middlewight belt the limit is 160.

No more catchweight bull**** , its a ploy to weaken the champion , by weight drain , and its just bull****

Yep. And yet there's a thread of "why aren't you a Pacquiao fan???" not that I dislike him per se, but I do get annoyed with certain things.

:good I agree. I admire Pac, he did it once, okay. Twice, fine. But yea it should stop. There was always the question in my mind after the Williams-Martinez fight if Martinez, like Williams, would have any trouble moving to 147? I mean, Martinez is not a very big 154 and he did start out at 147 so not so much draining, but gradually adapting to 147 the right way might make Sergio even faster and stronger at that weight.

Either ways, I think Sergio is being overlooked as easy pickings for Floyd and Manny and I think he can beat either one of them if they were brave enough to fight him.

I'm going to be very relieved when Pacquiao retires.

I don't bear the guy any ill will as a fighter or a person, but his presence in the sport is just obnoxious and causes all sorts of confusion and headaches that it just doesn't need.

    Enough weight division hopscotch.

    Enough catchweight fights.

    Enough diamond belts.

Enough new "boxing fans" who think that the expression "pound for pound" is itself some kind of high praise rather than a comparative tool.

If I didnt include Mayweather in this you Joyboys would be offended that I didnt include Mayweather as a huge name for Martinez.

Martinez has 15 days from Saturday to decide which belt he wants to keep.
