Can the round be scored 10-8 for the one who completesly dominates his opponent without a KD?

    I mean he hit him with everything he has but his opponent somehow (hugging or holding for a dear life)manages to survive that round without a KD.

    Yes and it's not that uncommon...
    But i would say you'd at least have to stagger your opponent
