Can the top Light-heavyweights beat the top heavyweights if the bout was with olympic rules?

Stranger things have happened than Wilder losing two of three rounds.

 

Yes Bivol/Beterbiev would out point Wilder under Olympic rules.

 

Beterbiev is just a puncher, his speed could help him v AJ but AJ`s reach would be too much.

 

Usyk and Fury are more skilled than the best LHW fighters so they've extremely small chances there.

But after those two, would it even be an upset if Bivol beat AJ, Wilder, Zhang or Joyce? Beterbiev might have a harder time due to his fighting style, but Bivol could probably beat them in an actual title fight let alone an Olympic one.

 

No, Bivol`s 72 inch reach is way too short.

I wouldn't;'t give him much hope against ANY of the four you mentioned.

And it would DEFINITELY be an upset if Bivol were to defeat AJ.

Bivol is a lot smaller than Usyk, who had his hands full with AJ.

 

For a decade or so we were told that there was a new SHW era and anyone else was too small to do anything.

Usyk and a few others have proven if you're good enough you can overcome the size difference.

Bivol for me is good enough. He'd school the 4 I mentioned.

 

Bivol is more skilled than three of the four you mentioned and marginally better than AJ.

But the slight advantage he holds over AJ in skill terms is more than offset by the huge difference in size… at least sixty pounds, six inches in height and ten inches in reach.

Bivol is very much smaller than Usyk and is not any more skilled.

The second AJ - Usyk fight was fairly close, all Usyk could handle.

Add to this, the AJ since Andy has been a bit nervous about engaging.

He wouldn’t be the least bit worried about what Bivol might land

Conversely, AJ’s jans would feel like power shots to Bivol.

This wouldn’t last ver long.

Good as Bivol is, I wouldn’t give more than a 5% chance against the bigger man.

And four of those % would be based on AJ having a heart attack or stroke.
