There was a time when New York's Tor Hamer (18-1, 11 KOs) was on the short list of top American prospects in the heavyweight decision. The 2008 National Golden Gloves super heavyweight champion shared the on-deck circle with Olympic bronze medalist, Deontay Wilder and college football star, Seth Mitchell as the nation's best chance to regain heavyweight glory.

    Hamer develops the winning habit.

Fast forward to 2012 and "The Hammer" has smashed his way into the top 10 after winning international prizefighter in stunning fashion in a field which included the World class Kingpin and Sosnowski. Hamer was definitely not one of the fighters favored to win the trophy and the monetary prize of £32,000. However, in retrospect, Hamer's aggressive style in the one-day tournament consisting of 3-round bouts, should've made him, at the very least, a live underdog. In the final bout, Hamer would take a unanimous decision over Kevin Johnson, who had beaten Morocco's Noureddine Meddoune and Sosnowski en route to the finals, by scores of 30-27, 30-28, and 29-27.

Proved he could live with the best.

After getting past renowned name fighters I think it's right that we look at how The Hammer would do against Klitschko. Stylewise Hamer is elusive type similar to Hayemaker but obviously not having Hayemaker's stunning KO power. He's basically Eddie Chambers multiplied by 2 and we all know how much Trouble Chambers give Klitschko.

Vitali wont take the fight with him. Vitali wants no part of such a slickster as proven by his blantant ducking off Haye, Chambers, Byrd rematch, Ibragimov, Chagaev and others so that leaves us Tor vs Wlad. This fight is tight and if Chambers can take Wlad into the last round then obviously Tor can do at least the same. Tor steals a few rounds but probably loses on points.

**** fight, Hamer isn't much and like you said has no power and is easy to hit.

Johnson would have destroyed him in a 12 round fight.
