Ryota Murata...he won the gold medal in London. I watched him a week ago defeat Carlos Nascimento in Macao, China, TKO4. I was impressed with his aggressiveness & technique. I think he can give a lot of top Middlewt's problem. This content is protected http://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/.../murata-learning-lessons-as-pro/#.Uw-PTJ0o7GI
I hope so. He made his debut against a solid Japanese middleweight named Shibata and he looked awesome in this fight: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x13w644_akio-shibata-vs-ryota-murata-2013-08-25_sport
I been following him and hoping he keeps winning, leading to a showdown with GGG Japan is pro WBA so his first title shot is WBA
Still has things to learn, but his attitude towards improving seems positive. Looking forward to seeing what this guy has to offer in a couple years.
Impossible to say at such an early point. He seems to be pretty decent, sound technique, nice right hand and combinations. His defence is a pretty bog standard high guard style and he doesn't move his head enough so will be interesting to see how he copes if forced back by an aggressive opponent like Golovkin. At 28 he will very likely be fast tracked, and facing a guy with a 29-3 record in his 3rd fight confirms that. So we won't have to wait too long to see if he has what it takes.
he likes to bang, and at 3-0 his amateur pedigree is evident. if he's moved the way he should be, and isn't protected in the land of the rising sun, we shall see.
