While he beat gausha clearly I don't think he would beat charlo. Charlo can punch to and way more big fight experience.
The best he can get is a draw, if Tszyu don't ko him. That being said, I give the edge to Charlo.He just legitimately beat Castano this time.
Madrimov is all flash, no substance. Just does a ton of flashy moves, first person he fights with a half decent jab is going to give him hell
Can you beat the Charlo's on the cards? Tim would have to knock Charlo out. Even with a draw, Charlo would get a second or 3rd chance at redemption. Yes, I think Tsyzu can beat him. I have respect for Charlo; I'm not implying he's a bum. Not at all. I'm not sure that Charlo's chin has been tested to the extent that some people think. Who are the *confirmed* seriously heavy-handed boxers that Charlo has beaten? Looking back to last night - Castano (who is not a huge puncher) clearly had Charlo a bit hurt in the 6th round and in some trouble on the ropes. What do you think would have happened at that point if it had been Tszyu in there instead of Castano? Tszyu dominated his fight with Gausha after the first two minutes. Gausha is not an uneducated fighter; look how he kept Lubin off him all night when the two fought? I'd be OK if Fundora gets "next" with Charlo - but there's no reason for Tszyu NOT to make a fight with Charlo (or Fundora) just as soon as it can be made. Nobody really wants to fight Tszyu and his promoter - George Rose - isn't that big of a deal on 6 of Earth's 7 continents. I mean outside of a fight with Lubin - what *else* is there for Tszyu now?
Charlo make some good adaptations from their 1st fight. A lot of what we was doing though, was boxing off the back foot and stinging Castano with counters. It was effective because it was requiring Castano to throw more punches than in their 1st fight and you could see Castano tiring after Round 6 or so. By the start of Round 9 the eventual outcome looked pretty inevitable. As I've tried to point out to people before, Castano fights a very "energy intensive" fighting style. He came into this fight at aged 32 years and 9 months and inevitably that means he wasn't going to be able to press the action over 12 rounds. He no longer has the energy he had three years ago when he fought Lara.
Soro has a decent jab, and you saw what Madrimov did to him. One more big fight and he’s ready for Charlo.
I think it's going to be a fun fight. I've underestimated Tszyu too many times, and he continues to overachieve. He's a better pressure fighter than Castano, so he has a chance. I have Charlo as a clear favorite, but I would not be shocked if Tim scores a TKO.
