As of now, Fury would lose every second of every round until he got knocked out. Give him a chance to develop, get more fights, build himself into the best fighter he can be. Then ask the question again.
He is only about 22 so he might improve quite a bit in a few years plus fill out. A boxer with an 85 inch reach with a good chin and work rate who is aggressive might be a bad match up for Wlad. I think Fury might be able to give Wlad a good fight or even win one day but not right now.
Not in near future. At best I see it going like Jameel-fight, if he improves. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCxKfoekIfo"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCxKfoekIfo[/ame]
If Wlad were to fight on until he's about 42 then maybe Fury could get in the ring with him and not look like a total sloth. Maybe.
You watch, the sanctioning bodies will have him in the Top 10, maybe even top 5 for this, which is ridiculous. Fury is still a prospect, a fringe contender, and that is all. Let him take on a top 10 guy now and see what happens. Perhaps a David Haye, a David Tua, or Nicolai Valuev...he's really not ready for them either, but at least that would earn him a shot.
Exactly at least it would be entertaining while it lasts. Not a snoozefest, watching one man in survival mode after realising his crude attacks cannot get through the Wlad D.
Fury lacks stamina, punch and hand speed to trouble Wlad. Fury did a good job considering his limited skill set, but let's not get carried away. Fury appears a little like a younger version of Valuev, similar slow hand speed and punches thrown from shoulder with little technique. More punch variety though. Fury punches well to the body and throws a decent upper cut when it doesn't land on himself. Realistically, Fury would have to win another 3-4 fights against UK opposition and then challenge a guy like Dimitrenko. Make no mistake.. as horrible as Dimitrenko looked against Chambers... he's light years ahead of Fury in terms of stamina, experience, technique and punch. Fury vs. Harrison should be make in the next 6 months, why not.
To be honest, I agree. Wlad is an exceptional champion. I don't think we should be looking at whether Fury can get to be good enough to give Wlad a decent fight. That's pie in the sky stuff. The real question is whether Fury will ever be a genuine top contender. Will he get to within the top ten P4P at heavy? We should know the answer to that after he has another 3-5 fights. He sure as hell isn't there yet. He isn't even a journeyman. But you have to be fair and give him a chance to see what he can become - he is still clearly developing and improving right now.
