Can we all Agree Bellew is criminally underrated?

From struggling at domestic level to holding his own at elite level. Bellew has got skill in abundance.

OP's like the ones above remind me of when teams such as cardiff lose 6-1 to Man City and then turn around and say "but oh, we scored one and didnt conceed 7, didnt we do well".

Absolutely no shame in losing to Usyk who is a likely future HOF'er. But Bellew got banjoed badly and he was definitely carried. I wonder what people see sometimes

I admired what Tony did but I think he was being over rated if anything. He seems to have been labelled with this warrior mentality that he cant be stopped, but he has been, its not like he is this Hagler type monster. Also the recent stuff going around about his one punch power, which he said himself, he "sparks people with one punch, always has". I don't know where a lot of this stuff comes from apart from hype. Tony went up in my estimation after last night, but I still don't see him as much more than a good fighter who always gave it his best.

    ITT Bellew was "carried"

Look, I'm not a bellew fan, despite people thinking if you arent absoloutley bashing someone you MUST be a mega fan of theirs

But he went in against a guy supposed to be top P4P and Bellew himself is supposed to be crap

Usyk was not "carrying" bellew lol, watch the fight, for the first 5 rounds Usyk many times has a look of genuine concern on his face, now he figured Bellew out, switched through the gears and took over but Bellew did a lot better than he was supposed to.

He's never been an elite talent but he gave a good account of himself

Bellew isn't underrated he is a fringe world level type fighter and has been well matched for most of his career.

Absolutely he's underated, very good boxer, his power is a bit overated.

He had the measure of usyk for at least 4 rounds and you could tell usyk was a bit shocked..

Usyk didn't figure anything out, Bellew simply gassed, slowed down and no longer was able to continue the game plan he had in the first few rounds.

Or..... Usyk went in thinking this will be easy, had the wrong mindset, maybe a lil nervous with the crowd. Bellew boxed great but on the backfoot, looking for potshots. As the rounds wore on the accuracy of jabs an Bellew's poor conditioning became too much and he was taking out in proper fashion.

What I will say though is although Usyk is quality, he is maybe not as fast as I thought.

Hmmm I think usyk underestimated Bellew and was genuinely surprised that he could box so well of the backfoot.

Bellew impressed me last night, but more than that he showed that usyk is beatable.

Usyk is fantastic but either he's not as good as I thought he was or Bellew is better than I thought, or maybe a bit of both.
