Can we all Agree Bellew is criminally underrated?

Underrated how? I'm just glad he wasn't served up by Hearn as a Femi challenger as it would have been a Chuckles Martin type farce.

He definitely showed Usyk is not invincible, however let's not forget how the fight ended.

I did however leave last night thinking I was not as confident in Usyk beating AJ as I was before.

AJ will have to KO him within 6 rounds as he will not outbox this man and could easily gas like Bellew around the same time.

Big muscles get very heavy - Frank Bruno found this out a few times.

Usyk is a nightmare for AJ.

He looked absolutely clueless against an old Povetkin for a while. He was getting his with three shot combos. Usyk has many more gears than Povetkin, is fresher, and has beaten guys as big and as good as AJ before.

AJ has that power that can change a fight in an instant, but he is very predictable and doesn’t have many gears himself. Parker took him the full twelve without getting showed up. Parker is no Usyk.

People forget that the HW’s are so slower. Usyk would wear them out if he puts his foot down.

Problem for Usyk if he gets to AJ is that he is going to have to really win the later rounds clearly.

Didnt Povetkin win like 4 out of 5 of the first rounds and the judges cards were tje opposite?

Yeah definitely the bigger the muscles, the more oxygen required, which is not ideal for boxing.

However AJ is 3 inches taller and a lot heavier with a fairly good jab. Although Usyk is the best big man boxer in the world (barring Tyson Fury who is a little unique), last night showed there are ways to be effective against him.

Usyk is probably not as fast as I thought, although still quick.

I'm maybe looking into it too much and I still fancy Usyk to beat AJ however I'm certainly not overly confident about it.

I’ve never really like Bellew and thought I’d be happy seeing him sparked out but I genuinely felt sorry for him when he got laid out and had a lot of admiration for his performance. Usyk wasn’t warming into the fight and losing rounds on purpose he was losing rounds because Bellew boxed great them first few rounds. And you could see Usyk looked anxious imo. But once he settled down and Bellew tired he got the stoppage.

Bellew has earned around fifteen million pounds in his last three fights. Unbelievable.

Don't believe the "carried" part, and I have to admit I still underrated Bellew a bit after he had surprised me a few times.
Though his so called massive power has been overrated and he has never beaten a single beltholder in his entire career, I had him drawing (not losing like the official result) the Cleverly fight by the way.

But despite him doing quite good for about 3 to 4 rounds, it's not in any way like some say that he was the #2 cruiser behind Usyk. More like lower top 10 imo, and that's not a bad thing in this current field.

    Yes and No.

People thought he wouldn't win a second of the round, so in that sense yes.
People thought he was actually going to win, so in that sense no.

Briedis showed that Usyk is beatable by almost beating him. Bellew showed that unless you are truly world class Usyk will figure you out and banjo you.

Breidis was a lot fitter than Bellew.

Bellew didn't get figured out, Bellew blew up and gassed.

I didn't see usyk doing anything different in the last round than the first 4.

The difference was in Bellew not usyk.

I don't think he was overrated with casual fans but definetly underrated on this forum.
