I desperately want wilder to win but I literally don’t see him getting past this new and improved Larry wade version of Ortiz. he looks like machamp (the Pokémon)... dude is on straight animal status.
Ortiz looked slow and bloody awful of late. Sorry don't know much about pokemons but if its that wrinkly turtle thing your on about then yeah maybe I can see a similarity. Wilder should KO the old man faster and with little issue, you know, being the WBC champ and all that.
Stayed up to watch the last one at 4:30am. Was a great fight, nice action, can not fault the first fight. No, I won’t be staying up for this one, I believe Ortiz has far less of a chance now, even if he looks better, he is older and everything else is declining slowly. I would stay up if Wilder was fighting Pulev, Povetkin, Fury rematch, Parker etc, but not to see a rematch I have already seen the outcome clearly before.
When Ortiz Threatened to physically skin Wilder alive... Wilder was taken off guard by that. Ortiz has the guerilla chest pound down perfect too. I'm a bit off settled Everytime I remember Ortiz is older than Eddie Hearn on paper
Its not established Ortiz is the best southpaw in the division after the Fury /Wallin fight . How do you know hes improved ,his best win was 4 years ago and he got blooded up his last fight by a guy not even trying to win waiting on counter right hands who isn't a top 20 guy ? On that...im taking Wilder by SD ,bc I think wilder is that poor of a boxer and Ortiz IS skilled and may not want to risk much this time,if this is the case ...Ortiz actually won and got robbed bc Wilder cannot out box this guy even if Ortiz got off his couch after a nap ( assuming most comes in tougher in a title fight ) I picked Ortiz last time and thought I got a bit finagled out of it with questionable things and bells saving Wilder. If Wilder gets rattled early he wont won this one but odds are he will LOOK like hes trying to win ,he knows close fight will go his way and wont have to do much. .
What fight suggests that ? Give it a rest, the guy is nearly 50 and doesn't have the speed nor punch count Wallin brings wit movement that would be more problematic for most top guys like wilder who cannot have accurate shots ( did you see the Fury fight )and at a big 6'5 plus unit. The only thing Ortiz has over Wallin is experience and power.
There's not really been anything to suggest Wallin is great. I'll see him in another couple of fights against decent opposition before making judgement. It wasn't that long ago we all thought Jennings was world class for running Wlad close and that turned out to be nonsense.
