First off floyd was dominating the fight. He was beating him more convincingly than even most floyd fans had anticipated. Ortiz could barely get a shot off and when he did land the odd punch Mayweather took it with ease. Lets get one thing straight, if the fight went on Ortiz would NOT have won. Floyd would have knocked him out at some point(probably with in the next 3 rounds).

Ortiz head butted Mayweather twice in the fight. He had already been warned for it, then he did it again even more blatantly. Ortiz deserves no sympathy!!. He tried to cheat because he was losing badly!

Mayweather acted like a thug...! even though Ortiz was in the wrong it does NOT! excuse such a cheap shot. It's cowardice and also very dangerous. DON'T compare it to khans shot against Maidana or Abrahams shot against dirrell!!! thats a ****ing stupid baseless argument. Mayweather whether you like it or not did something pretty disgusting! It was a serious assault.

Don't come back with the "Ortiz should have protected himself at all times" crap. This is a sport not a ****ing street brawl. Mayweathers a ****ing tool!

Mayweather fans just accept and admit Floyd did a stupid thing motivated by rage which ruined the fight and cheated people out of their PPV.

Ortiz fans admit, victor was completely out classed and tried to cheat in order to win. He deserves NO sympathy!

bad night for boxing, now lets move on!

Let get one thing straight, no one with any sense believed Ortiz would have won that fight when it was first signed. If you think that 3 and half rounds would convince those that did to change their minds then you're talking out of your ass.

Mayweather was well within his rights to hit Ortiz. No need for Ortiz to keep ****in apologising when they already touched gloves. Ortiz own fault.

ok ortiz's fault but mayweather should know he lost a lot of fans last night. don't tell me thats not important to MONEY mayweather..... his public image is something he's always trying to salvage and he's just done him self a lot of harm. it was a disgusting cheap shot!!

you wouldn't see ward, froch, hopkins, klitschko do that.

Mayweather can't ****ing win.. I mean if he wanted the cowards way out then why didn't he just act up the head butt therefore getting the fight waved off as a no contest or to the cards. I mean victor could have knocked floyd out with the head but and all the haters would be saying that floyd is a *****. bottom line is, last night was not great for the sport but **** happens and ortiz did this to himself and imo wanted out there and then

Mayweather did what he had to do.

If you want someone to blame, Cortez is your man. He was very unclear in resuming the fight.

    agreed.

If Ortiz decides to drop his guard after he already have touched gloves once and apologized, not to mention kissed Floyd on the cheek, then it's game on and it's a legal blow.

BUT... I would really like to hear what Cortez has to say about this, cause it looks like he is talking to a judge or some kind of official which probably means the fight is still paused?... Anyway Cortez looks off pace here..

ortiz was a dick last night and desereved to lose the fight, but mayweather will suffer for what he did. it was just a REALLY ****ed up thing to do! the fact he hit him so hard makes it worse as well.

I think a long time ago floyd realised that being hated sells best;) I don't like his attitude but it works for him and his wallet.

I alos think it is a brave statement to suggest that those fighters wouldn't do that? I mean froch has already gone on record to say he would foul if being fouled.. Yes what happened was a bit of a cheap shot, however, it was made to look worse than it was because ortiz refused to defend himself. The first left was a tap and should of made any fighter wanting to fight realise that the ref had called fight on and their foe once again meant business.

He wont suffer fella.. If anything his stock will rise cos more people are baying for his blood.. Worse things have happened in a boxing ring and if ortiz hadn't have been a complete tool who imo wanted out then the so called cheap shot wouldn't have happened.. For me it is just a string of unfortunate events started by ortiz loosing the plot.

for **** sake. why can't you hold mayweather accountable for what he did. he tricked ortiz. he was nodding his head and opening his arms as if he was agreeing to shake his hand then he viscously knocked him out. he didnt use skill or boxing ability, he cheated his way to victory! just admit that atleast!

How many times did Tree apologize exactly? I ended up not getting the fight, but by the way people are talking about it, it sounds like he was kowtowing to his daddy or something.
