Its inevitable in every mans life that they wake up and they ain't as good as they once were. And it tends to start around 33 or so.

I remember my dad said it happened to him at around age 34. He didn't suddenly turn into an old man. But he said the body just wasnt the same. Things starting hurting, he couldn't recover as fast, his stamina started going away.

Also Abel Sanchez already said GGG can't train like he used to. Well that's obvious. He's 36. No **** he's not the same.

He's certainly past prime athletically but still the best MW in the world. Experience can help compensate for a loss of physical ability, and GGG is sufficiently skilled to weather some decline. Not forever, of course, but I'd bet he has another 2+ years at world level. Then by 40 he'll on the way out, for certain.

There's also a difference past prime athletically and fighting at a sub-optimal weight. Roy Jones went up to 175 before falling out of prime, and Mayweather did the same at least until 2010 or so when he began to decline. The notion that these guys are going to fight at the championship level for 12-15 years without any dropoff is a bit asinine, though obviously some HWs have a longer shelf life.

Floyd was past his prime against Pacquaio too, there's a reason he went Berto - McGregor afterwards.

Power is one of the last things to go, early KO means nothing. I suggest you listen to the industry:

Saunders: GGG is "old" and "past prime" - 2017
“Golovkin is getting old, isn’t he? He’s almost 35,” said Saunders to IFL TV. “He’s shown to be an ordinary man…Just let him get to that certain age, 35-ish, and now he’s that age."
Froch: "Golovkin, his best days may be behind him." - 2016
"I think Golovkin is just past his best" - 2017
Jose Reynoso, Canelo's trainer: "Golovkin has already reached his top and as they say in my ranch, ‘Old Chango [******] does not learn new stuff'."
Kellerman: "Golovkin might be getting old" - 2017

GGG got hit less in round one than he did against Monroe.

GGG is the same fighter he was 3 years ago.

If GGG finds the will to give the young lion Canelo a rematch he will likely be KO or quit on his stool.

Now doubt GGG has peaked, but peaking doesn't mean past prime.

You put the Wade's and the Martitosyan's in front of him , he will always look like a KO machine. You put the Canelo's and Jacob's he will always struggle, you put the Ward's he will always have an excuse why he can't fight him.

Young juicing lion lost his first fight to 36yo GG, I gues he did not wait long enough, he should have waited until GG is 42.

It was a draw. I had it 7-5 for Canelo, and 6-6 at the very least giving him rounds 1-3 and 10-12.
