after a succesful bout at 126 lbs. gamboa should be making a championship match at featherweight after one or two more fights, preferably against linares.

If/when Linares gets in the ring again, I seriously doubt it will be Gamboa in the opposite corner.

Linares' handlers are doing a crappy job of promoting him.

Noone's heard from him since his last fight:patsch

Yes, but realistically we aren't missing much either. He'll serve as good Gamboa cannon-fodder and profile increase eventually, other than that, who cares?:nut

    We'll see...

I'm one of the stonger Yuri supporters, and I must say that he needs another 2 fights (but at most) before the FW world title fight. Fortunately Arena is with me on this.

He needs a step up in competition. Since he fights quite often, I think we can expect a late August ESPN date (Jose Rojas would be good) and a fall HBO BAD event (maybe Jorge Solis or Hector Velazquez, both ranked high at the WBC), and if he wins big, no one can stop him to fight for the title at the end of the year.

luevano will be much easier for him. of all the champs at 126, linares will be the toughest opponent. he can also go for john, but if he wont ko him, itll be a decision for john (the fact that the fight will surely held at indonesia)
