Wasn't long ago we were all on this site moaning about all the fights we miss out on. Well I'm going to give some recognition to Setanta.

They may not have the whole thing down to a tee yet, but fair play to them. They've just shown the Cotto vs Judah, Hatton vs Castillo and Morales vs Diaz. Coming up they've got Vargas vs Mayorga, Pac vs Barrera:happy :happy and Calzaghe vs Kessler. Not to mention all the domestic fights scheduled, including Morris vs Simpson III.

I'm just glad to be seeing them especially the Pac vs Barrera fight coz was wondering if anyone was going to pick this fight up, and would've hated missing it.

Throw in all the SPL and Premiership matches and I'm definitely not complaining.

Just keeping my fingers crossed they get the rights to the Hatton vs Mayweather fight.

    I agree.

It should be constructive criticism. If you really care, email them your thoughts so they can try and change things.

i'm not complaining about what they are showing, just how they are showing it. and i have e-mailed them...although the only address i could find was a customer services mailbox. its not like its free. if you buy a service you have the right to be critical, or should we just pay our subscription and shut up?

They need to invest in some new people behind the scenes rather than stealing ITVs presenters

Can someone explain to me how the subscription works???

I under stand its £9.95 a month with no contract??

Do you buy a specific month or does a month start from the activation date?

No but you've got to remember they are in very early stages just now, they are just starting out. Of course it won't be perfect to begin with but at least they are making an effort.

Fair enough you pay for the subscription, but the subscription for the month is cheaper than the price for one PPV Sky would put on for Hatton.

Yes, £9.95 with no ocntract, however, there is a £10 "activation fee" - so your first month is £19.99 .

i have a package with virgin media and setanta has just been added free of charge so i'm very happy as the amount of boxing coming on looks very promising.

I didn't watch the fights at the weekend but was Setantas studio/ commentary line up affected by Sky having 'first pick' for the fight they were showing at the same time? For the Hatton fight they were using people who usually work for Sky....

Setanta had Claude Abrahams and Enzo macca in the studio. So no, not people Sky would use. The commentery team were from the US feed.

I was under the impression Dempsey had left Sky and was working for Setanta full time. Perhaps just for the "big" boxing events... ?

I like what they're trying to do by competing and trying to get a bunch of events that people are craving to see. I just think £120 a year is a bit expensive. I know they throw in a couple of other channels but after my trial dont know if I want to keep paying for aussie rules football 24/7channel.

Its borderline value for money for me. If there is one premiership game, and one US boxing event per month I'd like to see then Im happy. If they stop either of the aforementioned then I'll be cancelling.

if you look at their future boxing / football line up it really is quite good - lets not forget frank Warren is over on Setanta soon, Calzaghe Kessler is one that on their channel aswel as Cunningham Enzo Mac (should be the same bill though).
