Can we just stop talking about PRIDE now? Hasn't it been long enough?

    He's never even seen any of the PRIDE fights. Why are you wasting your time with a guy that only started watching MMA last week and makes threads for kicks?

    :clap: The problem with MMA is the uber fickle nature of the fan base. Anything more than a day ago they have no interest in. Once upon a time PRIDE was the BEST Org on the planet. That time has passed and now its the UFC's turn. One day the same will happen to the UFC and thus is the circle of life.

    The obvious comparison if we are doing where are they now type **** is to compare the UFC dominators from the PRIDE time

    Randy Couture (retired, lost to PRIDEs Big Nog under UFC rules)
    Tim Sylvia (No longer in the UFC, lost to former PRIDE HW champ Fedor in about 30 seconds)
    Andrei Arlovski (no longer in the UFC, has lost to PRIDE HWs Fedor and Kharitonov since leaving the UFC)
    Tito Ortiz (Still plodding on, recently beaten up by PRIDEs Little Nog, very few recent wins)
    Chuck Liddell (Retired, lost to Rampage, beat Wanderlei and lost to Shogun in his battles with PRIDE guys under UFC rules)
    Rich Franklin (got killed twice by PRIDE fighter Anderson Silva, beat Wanderlei and lost to Dan Henderson)
    Evan Tanner (Unfortunately we will never know)
    Matt Hughes (down the pecking order, beat former PRIDE guy Renzo Gracie)
    Georges St Pierre (One of the best fighters in the world, hasn't come into contact with ex PRIDE fighters)
    BJ Penn (Maybe retired, beat Gomi when they were both prime)
    Jens Pulver (losing on regional shows)

    So yeah, that's what the UFC headliners who were around when PRIDE was a big deal are up to.

    Do you know what the 'Classic Forum' on this site is for? :huh

    If you get tired of people talking about MMA from 5-10 years ago, you would shrivel up and die if you realized there was an entire forum dedicated to boxing featuring fighters such as these:
