    this guy was never anything special....the dude was hidden for a reason and got smoked when he stepped up....ward would have pasted this guy

    can we bury lucian butes name from ever being referenced in a thread about andre ward or the super 6 era of SMW?

    i hereby declare lucian bute to be removed from all andre ward or super 6 era SMW talk.....

    i apologize....i might have just insulted the pride of providence...i think he might have lasted longer against calzaghe than bute did in nottingham

    Weight divisions exist for a reason, Bute has a good enough chin to take shots from decent above average punchers like Jack and DeGale flush for 12 rounds, but one flush bomb from a light hitting Light Heavyweight, down he goes, Jack better prepare himself for the same fate. Its a damn good thing Ward is such an expert spoiler and clincher, otherwise he would have and eventually will suffer the same outcome.

    keep the hope alive CST....maybe one day you can rejoice in wards demise...but it aint today lol....maybe in june!

    but this aint really about ward here.....bute was just never anything....IMO

    Ah so Alvarez stopped Bute today...yeah, this should be the last he is spoken of as a contender. Looking at the highlights, a really nice right counter that hurt and staggered and dropped Bute.

    Lucian bute is the equivalent of Acelino Freitas at superfeatherweight. Both are beloved in their home country of Canada and Brazil.
    At one stage they are both undefeated and thought to be one of the cream of the crops in their respective division.
    Bute has his super six counterparts while Freitas had coralles, mayweather and casamayor.
    I think it is a bit disrespectful to say that Bute is not any good. I give him a good shot against half of the super6 with the exception of ward, Kessler and Froch. Even with this 3 he will give them hell. The Froch fights happened when Bute was slightly off his prime.

    Bute looked very different to the Bute of Jack and Degale, I thought he was on the sauce as Alvarez said VADA testing was not done on Bute but that Bute didnt look like he was on the sauce at all. He is finished Alvarez didnt even look good and managed to get him out of there, I hope he doesnt get near a title shot again unless he beats a big name.

    I don't hate Bute. But when fans...not even his fans,!well very few fans lol said that Ward ducked him I used to be hard on Bute. Instead I should've just shitted on the shithead fans who thought this.
