Bute is good dude, but like Pac, his fans can be really annoying.

Hindsight proved Bute to be over-hyped and nothing special, but that doesnt change how he was thought of prior to his defeat by Froch, nor how Ward shamelessly changed his tune the second it looked like he might win the Super 6 so as to delegitimize Bute as a potential opponent.

 

Bute had a good boxing career overall . Some good wins , some difficult loses but he did give Degale a good scrap and Jack as well . I didn't see the fight last night vs Alvarez but no shame in losing to a hard hitting younger man . Probably should hang up the gloves as he is definitely a gate-keeper if he continues .

Good guy from all accounts I wish him well and thanks for the good fights

Bute was really good fighter at one time, SOB Ward ran from him, kept him out of the super six.....................however, now Bute is done for and should quit..............

 

He's never beaten a really good fighter. I think Deontay LITERALLY has beaten better guys.

 

Ward wanted none of Bute, and his relief was pretty clear when Froch disposed of him. We shall never forget Ward ducked Bute. You can't say 'well Ward would have won so it doesn't matter', thats fl*m* logic...
