Fonfara has always been very solid! A very good light heavyweight and he looked tremendous against JCC Jr. But he should have and I expected Fonfara to dominate. I wasn't expecting the punches to affect JCC Jr. the way they did....he's DEFINITELY not a LHW....he should be a MW in all honesty but he doesn't have the mental professionalism to dedicate himself to go about losing weight the right way....nor does he have the will power to manage his weight in between fights. He's a fighter mentally....and he's tough as hell but he puts himself at a disadvantage with pure laziness.

What WBC 'belt' was that he had after the fight? Was it a 'silver' or 'interim' belt? Was it specially made just for this fight? Anyone know?

They made a special one to give to Chavez Jr but Fonfara had other plans:yep

Rico what's your take on Chavez jr's chin after this fight?

He doesn't have an Iron Chin. He has a good Chin probably a 7 or 8 out of 10. Legit Iron Chinned fighters don't get knocked down like that. So the WBC created a 'belt' for this fight and then Chavez quits on his stool?:rofl

His performance was impressive. I saw him doing everything better than Junior rather than Junior doing everything wrong.
He clowned him with his footwork. Made him fall face first into the ropes

Indeed. I never thought Chavez had an "iron" chin. His chin is about average in my view.

Chavez really benefited from fighting at 160 where he would boil down to the weight then rehydrate to 185-190 on fight night. He was a Cruiserweight fighting Middleweights. He was exposed as being a joke when not the bigger fighter.
