GGG would have stood no chance against rjj. Too fast. Too strong. Too quick of reflexes. MAYBE goes 6

Don't think anybody but Jone's haters thought he would win.

Me neither. But just had to be clear. There's always a punchers chance but that's only 10%

Triple G wouldn't have been chasing Roy or leaving himself open like he does with these guys he knows can't hurt him. we haven't seen Triple G in an actual fight yet to gauge just how talented & resourceful he is.

It's been 36 wins now. Will we ever see him in one?
Where is Larry Merchant when you need him? Would he have told him to move up or fight better comp like he did SRL, Whitaker, Hopkins,Jones Jr., Mayweather...you see the pattern here. Video footage is on Youtube if you think I'm talking crazy.

A pre-HW RJJ was unbelievably quick and won every minute of every round of every fight. He looked unbeatable.

But a post HW RJJ fighting again at a lower weight, was severely vulnerable and visibly slower and easier to hit. Once hit by punchers was knocked out cold.

    Two completely different propositions.

The first career RJJ would be fav to win a decision against GGG.

The second career RJJ would be taken out on a stretcher after few rounds.

Yea. And now even I could beat Duran. Use your brain and figure it out instead of making things far more complicated than need be.

Do you think the RJJ who fought at lower weights after beating Ruiz, would have beaten GGG at MW or SMW?

    Its a relevant question.

I am not talking about the RJJ now obviously.

Let's say the RJJ from 2006

Of course not. That was absolute hell on his body and his reflexes diminished. Idk why you would even consider that to be a legitimate question. Huge accomplishment beating that version of rjj.

Unless we nuance the question and be clear this relates to the pre HW version of RJJ then this is legitimate.

I agree that the pre Ruiz RJJ would be the clear favourite against GGG and this was always the case. Pure speed, reflexes and control of distance at his peak would be too much for pretty much anyone in history at MW or SMW.

Why would you assume the worst version of rjj? The original post made it very clear that his reflexes speed and power would be too much. Now ask yourself, were his reflexes anything noteworthy post Ruiz?

If I were to ask the most basic "Ali vs Tyson" question, would you not assume Tyson pre prison and an ali who didn't need to resort to rope a dope tactics?
