Can Hatton (or could Hatton have) beaten Floyd at 140 instead of 147?

Of course I say **** No!

Mayweather wins at any weight. Mayweather isn't big at 147 anyway and was better at lower weight classes.

Having the fight in 2007 at 147 turned out to be good for both camps, as Mayweather made a lot more money than if they had fought in late 2005. Hatton like-wise, and he still is The Ring champ at 140.

Hatton has a chance but so does anybody.

If they had fought at 140 i would have picked Floyd UD. At 147 i picked Floyd by 10th round stoppage.

I thought Hatton could have done it right up to the weigh in when you saw Hatton lose his cool for the first time but also i though Mayweather carried the weight much better and for the first time in ages he actually looked the bigger man.

But Cortez needs hanging for his handling of that fight and the fights he has ref'd since.

No. They would of weighed the exact same on fight night in their WW fight. There is no difference.

that doesn't make sense; Mayweather weighed the same at Welter as he did at Junior Welter. hatton outweighed him on the night comfortably.

    Thunder:lol:

PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Hatton and would beat him 100/100 times especially at 140. You can't come in as wide open as Hatton is with no jab and beat an elite defensive counter-puncher like PBF.:deal

How much did Hatton weigh on fight night against Mayweather, and vice versa?

HBO didn't show it. I know Hatton weighed 149 on fight night against Castillo, and in the mid or high 150s in his WW fight against Collazo.

I think Hatton was in better shape though at WW for the PBF fight than for Collazo. He took the Collazo fight on short notice.

Yes he did but he looked much fuller in the shoulders than Hatton and anytime he fought before.

It was as though he had upped his strength output in the gym, and he looked alot stronger in the clinches than usual. Remeber how Hatton at times bullied the bigger Collazo around but he wasnt able to do that to Floyd even in the clinch.

Hatton has also slipping prior to that fight and i believe that his best years have been wasted under Fwank Warren.

PBF has always had underrated strenght especially in his legs just look at his fight with Oscar when people said Oscar would bully and run right through him and he held his own with a much bigger man.

No. Floyd beats Hatton at any point of their careers, at any weight, anywhere in the world, with any referee, in any length fight, with any gloves, any size ring,

What? If anything Floyd got worse within that time because he moved up in weight and Hatton and team wanted no part of Floyd at that time.

Not IMO. I still feel that 140 would have been his best weight class but there was simply no one to fight at that weight. He was at his physical peak at that time.... 27, 28 years old.
