Can we say that now it's the end of the small HW World Champion era?

After Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield era, the Giant World Heavyweight Champions like the Klitschko brothers ruled the HW Division over a decade. Now Wilder and A.J. who are also very big World HW Champions. They have physical advantages and talents. The last time I watched the small heavyweight beating the giant heavyweight was back to 2007 when Ruslan Chagaev beat NiKolai Valuev who stands 7 ft. tall. Ruslan beat Valuev because the latter was clumsy and damn slow but Wilder and A.J. are not. They both have speed and power.

No. Andy Ruiz is fast as hell, hits hard, great chin, has new stamina, new trainer, he is a sleeper................Sirenko is only 6 feet 4 inches tall, but a huge build, you can hear his punches land, there are several Eastern European fighters coming up the ranks, one is 6 feet 10 inches tall, some are only 6 feet 8, some 6 feet 6, this is just the beginning................Gassiev is only 6 foot 3.5 inches tall.................he will be a good heavyweight, and Usyk is only 6 feet 3 inches tall, but has the best skills of any heavyweight...............

Deontay Wilder is a small heavyweight, he weighed in less than most Cruisers do

Wilder is a scaled up Sugar Ray Robinson, who came in at Cruiser weight and KOed Heavyweights nothing less

A scaled up Wilder is what to expect in the future a Seven Foot fast twitching Giant

There is a good Eastern European fighter coming up the ranks who is 6 feet 10 inches tall, but do not sleep on Sirenko, he is around 6 feet 5 inches tall, very big boned, strong, you can hear his punches land, he might be the future.............

What you are talking above are not small heavyweight fighters. Farm
But I'm talking about small heavyweights which means the guys like Tyson, Holyfields, Chagaev, or even Marciano.

Ali/Clay....when he came on the scene big-time, when he was super fast, and virtually untouchable was 202-212 lbs.

Wilder is in same weight than prime Tyson or Holyfield. Even a bit lighter. So he is tall but not really big.

No I don’t think it’s fair to class Wilder as a small heavyweight. Just because he comes in light doesn’t mean he’s a small heavyweight. He fits into that category of giant HWs. Just ask Tony Bellew who totally ruled out the prospect of taking on Wilder when he sized him up in person.

At least, there are someone who agree with me that Wilder is not a small heavyweight. He's a very tall guy so he can make himself bigger and heavier if he wants.

We had a Welter at 6' 6" it didn't make him a champ, the weight class exist for a reason

Deontay Wilder is a natural modern Cruiser who is KTFO of Heavyweights, so its more with Deontay Wilder Pound for pound punching capabilities, the big size/less skills equation applies to Lennox Lewis and the Klitschkos, Tyson Fury made Wlad look like a novice when he took away his size advantage

A natural heavyweight version of Deontay Wilder will be scaled up at 6'11"

Yes. Chances are there will be a dominant smaller HW champ again. But it will be a hard hitting swarmer type who will be the size of Ali and the movement, size reliant HW's of old.
