The Mosley thread inspired me, but can we stop pointing fingers at fighters who’ve been caught juicing. People just need to except the fact that all top athletes take steroids and that’s just how things are. I’m not saying it’s a good thing but it is what it is, and the guys that do get caught probably just pissed off some people in the commission. Top athletes have been juicing since what like the 60s? Anyone who thinks that roid users are a minority is kidding themselves

Everyone knows anyone doping commissions are simply fronts for pretending to do something. Might as well be "pro doping unless you don't give us our brown envelope commissions".

Jake LaMotta literally admitted to throwing a fight. That isn't cheating to you?

That generation of character, integrity and dignity that you speak of wouldn't even let certain men of color compete for titles. Charlie Burley is still waiting for his shot.

Let's face it. All generations are flawed just like all men are flawed.

Burley was not my generation. And I mean men period of generations not boxing.
Also, you WAY overrate Boring Burley and the socalled murderers row. I know it's fun to align yrself with a fringe group and look cool, but don't change all of history and the respective abilities of all fighters to fit yr narrrative. In every gen some guys miss their chance for reasons fair or not. Burley is no different. And his style and passive personality certainly didn't help himself.

I was just using Burley as an example. My point is that all generations are full of folks that are cheaters or not honorable men. This not only applies to boxing but baseball, business or whatever.

The testing got better so athletes can't just load up on the old basic steroids that they used to.
They still use a ton of drugs, but not the same old ones, which were primitive but strong.

Not just the eastern Bloc either.
Shot put men's record still belongs to Randy Barnes USA, 1990.
    Not to mention Flo Jo.

You can't just assume that's everybody though. It's a lazy generalization.

    Agreed.

I'd like to see the evidence to support the theory that ALL top athletes take steroids. I'm going to take a punt that, a) this blanket accusation is not true and, b) no one can categorically prove otherwise.

Why then would I just accept that?

No, cheating is doing something wrong to win.
