    Puncher in history now?

He hasn't laid anyone out of note or who had a genuine granite chin.

The stats are baloney. Any other top HW would have had the same amount of stoppages if they fought that many nobodies.

I disagree. Most top HWs who fight that many nobodies don't have that amount of stoppages.

Wilder is a very hard puncher. There's no evidence that he's the hardest puncher in history but he's very possibly the hardest puncher right now.

His stats are extremely skewed. Didn't knock out Arreola, Duhaupas and Stiverne the first time. Then you've got bums like Scuba Scott who blatantly took a dive and in any case certainly didn't want to get up even though they could have.
His one punch power's a myth. He fought one guy who didn't want to quit and he took him to school

Anything is possible with selective match making. Wilder’s career is smoke and mirrors. Go look at some of the opponents Wilder faced, many of them got knocked out by other people prior or after getting knocked out by Wilder himself.

He is definately ONE OF the hardest punchers in HW history!

THE hardest is difficult to say.

BTW what is teh DEFINITION of "Hardest PUncher"?

Is it how much lbs force per square inch and pure power in kg/lb?

Is it how much "snap" the hand has to make the brain shaking?

    There are two different things.

I could imagine if Niko Valuev, if he lays his 320-333 lb / 145-151 kg / 22 stones and 11.7 pounds in his punch (like he hit Monte Barrett with) archives more PURE STRENGHT then Wilder or Wlad.

But the problem is his punches are not fast enough to shake the brain enough.

KO power and pure punching power is not the same.

    Example:

Did you ever heard the name Siala-Mou Siliga? He fought in K-1 Kickboxing under the name Mighty Mo. A Samoan like David Tua, but bigger and heavier, 6'1" (185cm) tall and weighing 280-299 lb / 127-136kg / 19st14lb-21st5.8lb.

His right hook was nicknamed "The Samoan Hook", and among his opponents in K-1 was former HW Champ Francois "The White Buffalo" Botha.

Botha said after he got demolished by Mo in 1,30 minutes of the opening round that right hook of Mo was the hardest punch he ever got hit with when it comes to pure strenght, harder then the right hands of Tyson, Lewis and Wlad.

Of course nobody has measured it, but at least Botha could do a comparation.

If Mo has the same pure KO power like Wilder is unknown, but fact is the way how his opponent (including Botha) fly through the air is awesome. His opponenents here are all heavyweights, 220 lb + x.

    This content is protected

Sure Boxing fans dont like it, but it is possible this guy has more pure strenght in his punches then even Shavers, Wilder, Foreman, Wlad and others.
Being 6ft1 and around 290 lb is a perfect structure to have a deadly punch.

But so or so Wilder is definately the hardest puncher of right now, and only some iron chin like Mariusz Wach could probably take his right the whole night without going down.
There is no other HW right now with such a chin like Wach. No Chuvalo, McCall, Tua, Ibeabuchi, Mercer, and sure Vitali and Valuev had very good chins too.

Yes, but it is the same throughout the professional boxing circuit. Every fighter will have some dodgy wins. Still, most top hard-hitting guys who fight 40 nobodies will at least be taken the distance by 2 or 3 of those nobodies.

Definitely one of the hardest punchers. Someone can make an argument that he's probably the hardest in history and it would be hard to emphatically prove them wrong. But Tunney, Ali, Hopkins and now Fury showed what smart/slick boxers will do to fighters who rely solely on power.

Hate Wilder all you want, I dislike him but you can't say he's not in the top 5 hardest punchers ever.

He clearly hits very hard. Shavers resume has more bums on it and most have him as the hardest puncher ever.

Donkey dropped Fury 4 times. Wlad couldn't. Yes Furys been dropped before but come on.. putting a 280lb man like Fury who's never been stopped before down 4 times (forget the couple of flash KDs he's had in the past) obviously shows serious consistent power.. he poleaxed Ortiz twice too.. those men are fkin huge .. yes he's a major tool but I don't think his power is in question

He's a great puncher but a mediocre boxer. Dude KO'd Luis Ortiz twice ffs. I don't think people realize the significance of those wins. I don't think there was anyone else (including AJ and Fury) who could do that especially in 2018.

Agree. Wilders “great eraser” it’s not a devastating as he thought.

fury shakes it off and comes back and beats the hell out of him

So much for Wilder being a “devastating/historic” puncher
