If he comes in at around 238 like he did against Fury in their third bout I think Wilder can stop Parker. At that weight he sent a shockwave through Fury's entire body. Thoughts?

In a rematch he lands his right and Parker shakes it off then proceeds to land a big looping overhand right on Wilder putting him on his butt.

Even prime Wilder has issues with Parker. Wilder took false confidence in the fact Parker turned him down years ago.

Maybe, maybe not... Punchers chance again, but he's been beaten by a better fighter with a gameplan that was very effective - and Deontay doesn't really do learning.

Didn't see anything from Wilder that would lead me to believe that.

    No.

Wilder won't beat Parker if they fight again.

I've done my fair share of dumping on Wilder over the years but last night we saw a thirty eight year old man who had been through two horrific beatings. Not the Bronze Bomber. I don't believe we will ever see that version of Wilder again.

    Ever.

His punch resistance is less, his reflexes have diminished and the explosiveness of his youth is no longer there to make up for his poor right hand delivery system. On top of this, the psychological damage of losing multiple times seems to have taken the fire out of him.

It's hard to be that hungry when you have a net worth of fifty million dollars. Hope he retires so he can enjoy his life.

I'm sure someone would say yes, but then again they also probably think Wilder can beat Fury 4th time lucky.

Wilder didn't show us anything. He admitted he isn't hungry after the fight, he's a once a year fighter not on that level.

It looked to me he already been counting his losses mentally. He stated from the start his goal is just to earn money for his family. He's done that, I don't think he's motivated for much else.

Is he that diminished physically? Not easy to say, he didn't really even try last night.

No, of course he can't. He's totally and utterly finished.

I recall Hatman saying that Joshua "had his manhood taken" after Ruiz beat him down in New York. It's an interesting question: to what degree is being beaten and KO'd in a championship fight by someone you're under huge pressure to beat similar to violation? Could it even be more damaging psychologically in some cases, considering that in these fights you're battered and humiliated in front of millions, rather than attacked in private?

Wilder was under enormous pressure to beat Fury. Everyone knows why. And in fights 2 and 3 he was annihilated. He came back with a vengeance in fight 3 but ultimately lost again and took an even bigger beating. Physically this must have taken a heavy toll but what about the mental damage? Wilder was happy just to survive the rounds against...Parker. He's lost all pride, ambition, killer instinct, tenacity, confidence. He's broken as a fighter.

Don't think so. To beat Parker you need good inside fighting skills, Upper cuts and left hooks, all things that Wilder cannot develop anymore at this stage of his career

The power may still be there, but the timing looks to be absolutely gone and he appears to not be able to pull the trigger anymore, an absolutely awful sign in older fighters.

Or maybe his inactivity bit him at his age with a decent opponent in Parker. But I don't expect to see him suddenly start being active with 3-4 fights next year. So in summation, I think we'll see him one more time and that's it.

Also there will be no Parker rematch, and if there was Wilder wouldn't beat him minus landing a at this point lucky right hand, which he couldnt do over 12.

Absolutely 0 chance. In fact even a few years ago I think he would have had major difficulties.

No Wilder even in his so called prime has always been limited he has no plan B so if the right doesn't come than there is nothing he can do Parker is smart for that. I also think Ruiz and Usyk would beat him basically anyone with a good ring IQ and lateral movements.

No, as Wilder can't adapt, can't learn new things and it's delusional.
This ain't AJ to understand what's gone wrong and to comeback better in the rematch.

Wilder will be actually worst, and Parker will KO him this time, just like with Fury.
