sadly no. fighters never give up in and out of the ring, but unfortunately a spinal injury is a different kind of story.....williams and chavez jr. would have been one hell of a fight.......:-(
The dangers of a motorcycle. This is why I will never ride a bike, ever. Paul says he still has the will to get back on the bike. My God, this man has balls of steel. If he miraculous does recover, somebody oughta put him on a leash so he doesn't go near a bike.
well I hope so.. I am glad for that. One thing I hate to hear is when someone has a illness or injury and the bills ruin them financially.
He's still young, and he's still Paul. That means there's time and willpower on his side. All I'm hoping for is that he stays strong while medical science advances enough to possibly allow him to walk again. Seems like a pipe dream now, but in 20-30 years, who knows?
man this coupled with the news about tapia is ****ing horrible. really glad that P-Dub's alive though and has his senses about him.always seemed a great genuine hard working dude. nothing but respect for him
Hell ****ing no. As much as I'd love to see a comeback, I prefer to skip straight to acceptance rather than wallow in denial. I wish this didn't happen. But life is ****ing terrible that way.
He will never be the same again. He will never box again. His surgery on wednesday to protect the upper half of his body and its mobility should be everybodys main concern at this moment. Chances are in his lifetime he will never walk again, certainly not in the foreseeable future anyway. Lets just hope that the doctors can save the mobility in his upper body so he can move his torso, arms, head and neck..
Certainly. That will make a big difference to the rest of his life if they can preserve the functionality of his upper body. Truly terrible accident.
Williams will never fight again, but despite George W Bush & all the rt-wing Christian-nutjob USA politicians, stem cell research is alive & well in most of the world. They are making incredible progress in the area of nerve regeneration. There is definitely hope.
I could never understand why the yanks stoped stem cell research under bush, break-throughs are being made on a weekly basis in britain.
Because they have to pander to mental religious people who think "playing God" should not be allowed to happen.
