If he can make it, then let him make it. Its the other camp dat needs 2 analyze opponents' strengths and weaknesses. Heavy weight drain is deff a weakness.

And then Williams knocked out Quintana in a round in the rematch, and it doesn't really matter if you think he lost fact is he still won the decision.

To answer the original question I believe he still could make 147.

PW already looks gaunt at 154. 147 is no longer obtainable at age 28.

Where is all this Martinez **** won coming from, it was a close fight and could have went either way. You PWill haters talk about the Martinez **** like it was a highway robbery, but say little about the out right theft of a title by Froch when he fought Dirrell.

i'm not as hater by any stretch lol. i just dont think he can make 147! i see him fighting at 160 with martinez, cant wait to see the rematch btw!

it was close, i thought martinez deserved it but it aint a robbery. neither was dirrell. it could've gone either way also.

Bull****. Anyone who knows how to score a fight, knows for a fact that Dirrell was robbed that night, there is nothing close about it, at most Froch won 4 rounds, at most. Maybe you should be reminded that boxing rounds are scored by 4 criteria, clean punching, effective aggression, ring generalship, and defense. Look at the fight again and score the fight on those criteria, not on the BS Brit excuse of "making the fight", and come back again.

As for PWill, explain to me why you think he can't make 147, but Cotto, Berto, and Clottey can? Especially since PWill walks around at a lesser weight than those 3. I'll be waiting for your response.

mate, the majority of people think it was close, i did a poll before, check my history, most people think he won that fight.

i didnt say cotto can make it, i dont think he can. clottey will probs move up also after his embarassment to pacman. at the end of the day, he is 6'2 has a longer reach than vitali and has fought numerous times at middleweight. that is why i dont think he can make it.

Why do you think Cotto can't make it, his last fight at WW he weighed 145, the fight before that against Clottey he weighed 146, so tell me your actual reasoning in saying he can't make it.

At the end of the day his height doesn't dictate what his natural weight is and what weight division he should be competiting in.

Like I said before, tell me why you think a guy who walks around at a smaller weight than most of the WW champs can't make WW like he claims he can?

ok. de la hoya made the WW limit when he fought pac, but he clearly couldnt "make" the weight. you know, in a competitive manner. cotto started to get chinny, just as he did in his last couple of fights at LWW, this tells me he cant make the weight in a competitive manner any more.

height does play a part tho, if you correlate heights and weights there is a clear upwards trend.

so williams walks around lighter than mosley, pac, berto and slavek? i know you mentioned it earlier but where is ya proof about his walking around weight? or is it just that he lives in the gym whilst berto lives the high life? mayweather walks round at fighting weight cos he is always fit
