Can you at least admit Floyd's 0 isn't quite as awesome as he thinks?

As a floyd fan yes I admit, but can you admit Pac's 8 division championship is bull****? in my boxing circle we only count 7

Mosley and Oscar both would have handed Mayweather his ass in their prime. Floyd only fought them because he knew they were so far past it. ALmost backfired though against Oscar. Old man almost won lol

 

floyd wanted to fight mosley back in like 99'-00',but floyd wasn't a big enough name.floyd also said when he was at 135 he'd beat oscar(who was at 154) and did it.

 

the 0 dont mean ****,its who you fight and how you beat them that gets you respect in boxing.ali lost fights so did chavez but people would consider them atg.the perfect record is all that floyd has to hold on to,if he lost that he would lose everthing and by his own doing he puts so much on that undefeated **** that he would cut his own throat with his own words.thats why pac gets respect,manny will give you a chance to beat him but you gotta come and take it if you want it.

There has been more than enough proof that it was Mosley keeping the fight from happening and not Floyd

 

His zero says that he's good at what he does and is very consistent. How is that not an awesome thing to be proud of. Many say Castillo beat him the first time, and would consider that his first lost, if that is the case then Manny has lost 4 times instead of 3 possibly 5 if you consider the first fight with Marquez.

 

I just wish he was more active personally. I know that it's his choice, his life, his health and his time, but I don't think he would get near as much flak as he gets if were just a bit more active.

People might still ***** and moan, but if he was fighting 3 times a year and beating good - not atg - but good comp then the chants of 'coward' and 'fraud' would die out pretty quick. I think it's harder to hate on an active fighter no matter how grating his personality might be.

 

Yeah, but so what if a fighter has a couple of losses on their record? As long as they are taking challenging fights and they lose I don't think anyone can complain.

 

No one should complain either if your fighting challenging fights and your prevailing in each and every one. That to me is more impressive then you fighting challenging fights and loosing some.

 

I agree. I think the point that the TS was making was that some of Floyd's opponents have been less than impressive and therefore his '0' isn't that impressive either. I assume that the TS is referencing Floyd's run at WW mostly.

For the record I don't think you can fight Sugar Ray Leonard every time by the way. Sometimes circumstances dictate that you take an easier fight. Sometimes you need to tune up and sometimes the challenging opposition isn't available at a certain time or terms can't be met and all that nonsense.

 

Being undefeated is a great accomplishment because not many great fighters have done it. It doesn't mean you are the GOAT though.
