http://www.clarin.com/diario/2008/12/10/deportes/d-01819218.htm Rocky Medina, the guy that got KTFO by Juanma Lopez last saturday is now saying that he was told to take a dive in the 1st round or else... As the article states (the article is in spanish and is from an argentinian news paper, where Medina hails from), Medina told in a radio program in Argentina that, at the weight-in, he was approached by someone who told him that if he didn't go down in the first round he wouldn't leave the US alive. He also said that the WBO and Juanma were behind all this. What do you guys think, sore loser or novel-like complot? I personally think his pride got equally KTFO and he's looking for excuses. I don't think Juama needs any help to do what he did.
He is absolutely full of ****. He quit out of fear simple as that..I dont want to stereotype a nation that has produced so many great champs but I have seen so many Argentinians just pike it, its disgraceful. We get them down in oz pretty often because people get sick of seeing thai and filipions rehased..So the promoters splash out to get a south american, of course they cant get the best fighters from those divisions to come out, so they go down the list a bit and find a guy with an alright looking record. Id rather see the filos and thais, because they have a go. A lot of the Argies that come down here give their country a bad name with their behaviour and often pitiful performances. This is just another example. An embarrassing performance he is embarrassed by so he is making up ****.
